Well, we all percieve things in our own ways of course.
Not to get completely off topic:
The replay shows two things that (in my opinion) makes it an amazing goal.
One: The first view shows how the hook of the ball was extreme enough to first initially start to the keepers left then bend so much to end up in the corner netting on the keeps right. If I was a keep and saw the ball from distance initializing travel by going straight to my left I would give the shot due respect and take a half step to my left in case the ball continues to my left, the rest is all Figo's ability to put more hook on the ball with just enough pace to beat the keep.
NOTE: the shot is a slowed down replay, it obviously will "seem" less than what it really is!
Two: The side view shows that regardless of the gap between the wall, by the time the ball had reached the point just above the wall, the only thing matching it's height was Totti's hand, so yes, Figo was lucky Totti's hand did deflect his shot. Other than that, even with the gap closed, I don't see the shot being blocked any other way!
So he had the perfect pace, height, and accuracy to go over the wall, decieve the keep and put enough hook on the ball to get just passed the keep!
Just my opinion of course.
Football is 50% luck at times though! But that moment by Figo was one of his better (skilled) ones!
