It's the Driver that causes the speed(slow or fast) problem,,,especially for MX users

Hi guys,

After all that time spent optimizing my PES3,(cos mine ran soooo slow)

I finally got it working all good~

My Spec: P4 Celeron 1.7, GF4mx440, SB Live value, 384MB RAM
PES3 v1.1.0.2 , WinXP

As we all know that driver 52.16 is not for PES3 at all.

So I was playing on 45.23 and trying real hard with this and that tweaks.. ,, after so many tries with so many tweak combinations, It seemed to work okay~ but not perfect!

Then I read from some forum that 30.82 works good with PES3
So I tried it..(Clean install)

Wow... It worked.. miracle....!!!(It showed absolutely different behaviour compared to 45.23)

I didn't need no tweak at all,,, It ran a bit fast at the beginning with double speed enabled (which is also miracle....coz it never ran fast before) so to get the best speed, all I had to do was just to play around with graphic details, screen resolution, and Camera. (You can also play with sound setting(Stereo/Mono) and number of crowds(This causes slowdown in the penalty box area as crowds go crazy when the ball gets there).. but game with no cheers~ emm.. i don't like it, so I turned them fully on and set the graphic quality to medium instead of High.

Now my PES3 settings are:
Double speed, 1280X1024, Medium quality, full screen, camera setting is the one above "Wide". other sounds and crowds settings are untouched. *compatibility mode for win98/me is ticked.

also other graphic settings on window are untouched.

I think this is the way it should be. (Nice and easy, only game configuration is needed just like other games,,, no vsync and frequency craps)

additionally, with that frame limiter thingy, I think we can make it 100% perfect. and I will try it soon.

* someone told me that 44.71 works even better than 30.82 so I will try that too. and stay with the best one.

**I just got my PS controller USB converter, and It is so cool~ You guys should play it with ps controller. not on keyboard~ so you can do all that mad~ tricks.

Thanks.

Oops, just in case you don't know where to get the old drivers from, check out http://download.guru3d.com/detonator/

and also try to get http://rudz.homepage.dk/files/rudz_bin/nfr_072.exe
this is nasty file remover that completely removes all the detonator related files so you can do the clean install with no conflict.

Damn~!!!!!!!

all that time i tried..... now i am so sad~ T.T

i just tried 44.71 and It runs perfect(no slow down what so ever...with above settings) even better than 30.82 (replay goes fine..no blur effect at all)

so i guess I don't need that frame limiter thingy anymore.

Why didn't I do this before?...why no one told me!!!

Still happy to run it perfect tho *@^_^@*

Everyone with MX card who suffers the speed problem, just clean install the 44.71 then play with the in-game configuration to find best setting for you.

It Should run good.

yeh but when i had a mx card i got it to work good on double speed now i have a TI card and id ont need double speed anymore it looks like a totaly different game, with double speed on it looks jerky and blury without it it looks and runs smooth....you can pick up the same card as me for about £50. Trust me it is so worth it i can play games like Halo and NFS without one jerk or skip, double speed doesnt fix the problem because the game looks nasty on that option.

hey, what kind of bugs you get with that card ?
I have the same and the only problem I get is slowdowns near the penalty box.
