my game crashed randomly after kit selection. after replacing player.lua from V1.3.0 to V1.3.1 (I took the file from FIFA Infinity patch) for a while everything was ok. But now, again I have this crash (it is a possibility to crash because Corinthians it's not part of the original game?) so I guess the problem it's also from player.lua.

I will try also to remove all scarves and regenerate ...

He also said that version 1.3.1 is currently on development, thus unstable. I think you should first try with scarves and if not succeed, restore to previous version

Scarf files are flag files. Inside each file are some identification strings which reference the team ID. If you open the file with a hex editor, you will find them at the end.

For Corinthians (ID 1041):
flag_1041_0.Raster
flag_1041_1.Raster
flag_1041_2.Raster
flag_1041_3.Raster

If these strings reference a different ID, the game will crash. This is the likely source of your crashing. You can change the IDs with a hex editor if the old and new IDs have the same number of digits.

Scarves are not part of the original game, the team flag is used by default. This would explain why your game crashed with RM16 enabled and worked without it.

Most other file types will just give a missing texture error in the same circumstances.

No, as Scouser stated, only scarves are able to give crash and not all of them. You can experience which of them are errorous if you face the same crash with another team. I had kind of many teams in Brazil with this error. On the other hand, scarves are shown only in specific countries, so they are not 100% necessary or missed if deleted

I will try to explain
If I meet two teams that have the same stadium (example 2 teams for stadium id 33) then the goalnet of the second team does not load. It puts the goalnet of the first team for the second team in the identical stadium

Do you think it is possible to implement a statement that changes the referee board's texture for each league / tournament so we can use eafh's newest creation without changing them manually every time? Thanks in advance, take your time and all the best! ;)

This bug has been in the mod for years, I have not been able to fix it. I will have another attempt to find a solution since you mention it.

I'm using RM in FIFA16 since the release in 2015, recently updated to 1.3 and started new career mode with Newcastle United. The weird bug is that no matter what I do, there are no specific adboards for Capital One (specificadboard_0_202_0_0.rx3) nor Emirates Cup (specificadboard_0_201_0_0.rx3) but ONLY if I'm playing at home at St. James Park.

I double checked if rx3 files are named and placed correctly and everything seems in order, if I put useGlobalTournamentGraphics(201 or 202) in general.lua for testing - the correct adboards are loaded and If I play tournament game away from St. James Park - the correct adboards are loaded as well.

I don't have any other adboard-related files, assignments or statements, and legacy adboards are enabled in cl.ini. Any idea what is the cause of this or how can I debug it? The FIFA16 itself is almost vanilla, I don't have any "big" patches like Moddingway Mod, just manually updated kits, boots and db rosters.

What adboards do you see instead? Are those adboards static/rotating or animated? Do you have any adboards installed for Newcastle United (specificadboard_13_x_x_x.rx3)?

For testing purposes I restarted career on new save file, simulated league matches just to get to Capital One Cup to check again and now the game was loading the correct file (specificadboard_0_202_0_0.rx3) even if I played at St. James Park so I thought that maybe somehow my career file got corrupted.

For some stupid reason I would rather loss progress, start over with properly functioning adboards than continue to play without cup adboards. And so I did. And guess what? The problem occured again!

So now it was obvious that it was something else that cause this problem. I started to analyzing stadium.lua file thinking maybe there is something wrong with file precedence since specificadboard_13_0_0_0.rx3 was being loaded instead of specificadboard_0_202_0_0.rx3 and I found this line:

And everything was suddenly clear - when I was playing career I played with "classic" kit! (I extended classic kits with 2015, 2016, 2017 etc). That's why everything was working fine while I hastily tested on another save file - I neglected choosing kit on selection screen because I had no idea it could be related to adboards (well, related indirectly through altering tournament asset ID).

I commented out this line and now everything is OK.

TLDR: it's not a bug it's a feature - I was playing with classic kit so RM was looking for specificadboard with tournament asset ID the same as kit year instead of tournament ID.

I was unaware you where playing with classic kits. When playing with classic kits RM16 uses the kit year for the tournament ID so you can use classic adboards, balls, ect. I would generally recommend adding new kits as regular kits instead of classic kits for career mode/tournament mode use.

Your mod is what actually makes me enjoy the game. I have knowledge in programming, I could help you if you guide me through the right path.

I have seen this, to my understanding the legacy files are not yet editable yet.

If the lua files do become moddable I would definitely like to try to create a Revolution Mod 17 or 18, 18 is more likely at this point in time. Unfortunately, the use of the lua files seems to be significantly reduced in FIFA 17 so I am not sure how many features I would be able to add. I seem to remember someone, possibly shawminator, indicating that some functionality is now in xml files so I would need to find those files to have a better understanding.

You can not add new stadiums with this mod. You can use Creation Master if you do not have an active career, or Stadium Server.
