Hi all.

Been around for a few years now. You know how I roll. Always willing to help & always want to try my best to share my work. Here we go.

THIS WORKS BEST WITH MY CAREER MOD.

Aims (Complete in Version 4):

• Less boring games
• Remove Super Goalkeepers
• More AI long passes
  
• More AI direct dribbling
• More AI shooting
• More AI tackling
• More reliance on tactics
• More fouls
• Player likeness

Notes:

Please note that

• I am used to watching & playing in British football so I like long passes and fast paced football
• I play locked to one player and mostly a CPU vs CPU game

How to Install:

Copy the locale.ini into your FIFA 18 -> Data folder (overwriting)

Are you sure the file works?
I did not notice any particular changes as it did in 17.
Is it possible that you must unlock the game first before you can run all gp strings?

Yes it does, SKIP_BOOTFLOW = 1 - Always confirms the file is functional.

I started from scratch for FIFA 18. My changes are FAR more subtle in this version because to be honest the game isn't too bad without it.

The file is growing slowly as I see things that could change, for example, this morning I managed to get some penalties like in FIFA 17. I only have 1 more hour left on my trial before the release tonight. I will see what else I can add tomorrow.

P.S. The career mode transfer changes are exactly what this game needed.

This fifa compared to the previous ones only need a few changes, surely it will be the most beautiful FIFA ever for us modder I know, as soon as there will be a frosty editor dedicated to it ...

A lot of people are not understanding this is not true. If you read GalaxyMan's post, unless the person who downloads his new frosty software has the FIFA 18 encryption key, they will not be able to mod the game. So only a limited amount of people (who he has shared this key with or has found the key) will be able to mod the game. So all I will expect for FIFA 18 is a Modding Way patch and perhaps a select few getting the key. No doubt Fidel & Ariel will get it as they are well known in the FIFA modding world.

I hope you are wrong Paul although I believe it so also, although I do not understand this decision, like GalaxyMan plans to make money out of it and it protects it's creation, otherwise it's just pointless to create a modding tool, release it and somehow withold the encription key needed by the tool. Why bother relese it then?

Explained better Paul, will there be a chance that a moddingway patch will come out for everyone, or just who will select Galaxyman will be able to play Fifa 18 modded?

I have said the exact same thing on modding way. The tool serves no purpose without the key so there is little point in releasing it with FIFA 18 "compatibility". It makes little sense that he releases screen shots of it working then to tell us he wont support us or help us get it working. It wouldn't shock me if the main people of FIFA modding community will get it and us little people wont.

That depends on how GalaxyMan's Frosty Mod Manager works. If the mod manager includes the key, then yes only mods like Modding Way will be available to us. Otherwise NO because each of us would require the key to make it or any other mod work. Every time I have asked him this question he hasn't offered a reply.

I still don't know if I have found the correct key. So, I dont know if it will work until he releases the tool to try it.

GalaxyMan's last post summed up our FIFA 18 modding potential this year. Still no real answer as to why hes gone Really negative about it all of a sudden.

Legal problem with his tool?

It would be a shame to go so close and then say goodbye to this year's modding ...

I think his explanation does make it pretty clear why he's wanting to keep his tool completely separate from any EA files that copyright could be attached to and/or an encryption key that some kind of legal issues could be attached to, he's made it fairly clear he will release the tool that we need, and it's up to us to find the encryption key, all you need is some third party to inform how to do that and we're all golden.

Paul, let's use Aranaktu's tool to try and find a good playergrowth system.
Last year I was unable to convert playergrowth to cheat engine.

by the way i play on world class difficulty if that may help

Hey. thanks mate. yep waiting for frosty editor so i can do it properly. the cheat table dont work for most of the files.

i agree. it is annoying me that there is no fouls and at the moment i cannot get it to work like in FIFA 17 without affecting the game in another way.

after theyve released the latest patch it looks like i will have to tone down my speed ups. although it still plays rather well.

any chances of getting a slower gameplay? currently i experience no midfield/build up play at all. basically every team i play against is playing super fast & direct with loads of long balls.
