Yeah Bangus, finally an easy-to-read guide, congratulations! ;)

A question mate, can you still change the depth of the goalnet as in 16 db?

Do you not have FIFA 18?

Can change net tension, shape (rectangle, triangle),and meshing (square, hexagon).

If I had fifa 18, in fifa 16 I had made all the doors with the deep nets by modifying db, I wanted to know if the changes took her in 18 as that kind of doors I have not yet seen ...

Hi. Open the Converter. Use the Browse For Squad File option to search for and load the squads1 file, that usually resolves the issue.

Thanks Bangus!!

This line : StadiumGoalNetDepth

Try putting it at 320 for stadiums like Bernabeu or Allianz Arena ;)

This is the results:

There is a Stadium table in FIFA 16. But there is no Stadium table in either FIFA 18 or FIFA 17 dbs, that is the problem. The Squad save/db now contains less than half of the tables that were available in FIFA 16 and earlier. Editing the db in FIFA 18 and 17 is now very limiting unfortunately.

Really Bangus? When I opened Fidel's virgin DB, I saw the column with the stairs and the goalnet modification, there was also the Wanda Metropolitano so it was Fifa 18!

But do you mean that you can not change it?

Sorry but with the translator sometimes it's hard to understand! :)

I don't know what Fidel has edited, or how. All I know is there is no Stadium db table in the default FIFA 17 or FIFA 18 Squad save file. Nor is it in Fidel's FIFA 18 Squad save file that he uploaded (I used his Squad save in fact). There are less than half the tables that were in the FIFA 16 db. These are the only tables in the FIFA 18 db that we can edit:

Edit bodytypecode to visually improve your team's players' bodies:

This is Jordan Pickford, my team's GK. He's listed as 6'1'' and 170 lbs. The pic on the left is his default body type. IMO, that looks much heavier than 170. So I changed his bodytypecode from 5 to 1. Pic on the right is his new body which to me looks correct now.

It's your team's players you stare at every game, so take an hour and just edit your team only. It'll make a big difference. To find your players' IDs so you can locate them in the players table, go to sofifa.com and use the search function. Search by specific league and team, and all your team's players/IDs will pop up in one easy-to-view list.

Tip about body type codes. There are 9 default codes assigned to most players:

short/thin (7)
short/average weight (8)
short/heavy (9)
average height/thin (1)
average height/average weight (2)
average height/heavy (3)
tall/thin (4)
tall/average weight (5)
tall/heavy [6]

If your player is assigned the average height/average weight code, and you want to make him look thinner, you can assign him the average height/thin code and he will appear slightly thinner. Or you can assign him the short/thin code. He will look even thinner but it will not affect his height. He will remain the same, i.e. average height.

FYI I don't have the body type codes or I would post them, but they may be available to view in Creation Master. Just load up the FIFA 16 db, the codes will be the same for FIFA 18. EDIT: Just checked CM. The codes aren't listed, but it looks like they can be determined by their position in the CM drop-down menu. Going by that menu, I added codes in brackets ( ) to the above list.

Bangus I think you are confusing the database with the squads file.

The squads file is just a partial database the game uses in conjunction with the main database for squad updating which is why only so much is capable of being modified.

Okay. So question: Are you able to edit tables that are not in the default squads file, and still see your edits applied in-game? I've been unsuccessful so far.

You will be unsuccessful because true database editing isn't possible right now but will be very soon.
All we can do is modify the squads file and whatever is capable of being modified within it's contents and should be visible in game with Origin set to offline.

Editing the squad file for whichever game requires the correct xml file pertaining to the game, 17 or 18 for example, wrong xml used and data is incorrect and
obviously won't be displayed in game.

Upload your files on Mediafire and post a link, I will try them.

Resume

on the left you can ses tool converter folder in which are squads1 and squadsdefault that i took from FIFA18_EDITABLE_ROSTERS_[D+] of fidel (the same file squads1 copied two times) instead of the file squads and file squadsdefault that we found downloading in the program.

on the right you can see the new folder created in which are : 1) file db.meta 2) squads1 db just created with convert tool 3) squads db.bak created after my modifies with excel( as example i made just one ...Arsenal came Arsenale )

at this point i move squads db bak into the convert tool folder , start the program , and with Browse for squad file select db.bak clicking on "create squads file" ....

But this appear: "no database to convert" and at the same time is created another file squad of 0 size.

What's the error i make?

The screen on the left of the folder with the Converter files, has no db file in it. The Converter cannot create a squad file without the db file. To extract the db file so it's present in the folder, open the Converter and click "extract database". Or, if you already have an edited db file you want to use, add it to the Converter folder, then open the Converter and click "create squad file".

Sorry, I guess you were just following what I posted, the screenshot on the first page that doesn't have the db file in it. My mistake bro.

It's Step 8 in my tutorial: transfer the edited db file to the Converter folder.
