Launch using the Frosty Mod Manager, would seem to be the logical answer. But you seem to want to import it into the Frosty Editor to further edit it, correct?

Yes and no, i mean, since frosty mod manager doesn't work for the moment with fifa 18, i wondered if there is a way to launch mod with .fbmod extension with frosty editor. But it will be also good to know if there is a way to edit it further but i think it is impossible without the .fbproject file, isn't it?
It is working for others. Maybe that's the fix, to figure out why it isn't working on your machine.
I've already tried Fidel's mod with FMM but no success. The message with error valor pops up when i launch the modded game. That's weird, because even administrators of the discord channel say that FMM doesn't work at the moment.

Trying to change players ages, to 17 (changing born year to 1999):
Tried these IDs manually in DB master, to see how to make all of them 17 year old efficiently in Excel:

The only similarity here I see is the first 3 numbers change to 152, once their year is changed. I want to make each player young, but manually its honestly not possible changing each players age to 1991. Is it possible to do change year to 1991 but leave their birthdates real through excel.

Make a list of all the 1991 bd codes, then keep copying/pasting it in the column. Once you've pasted it a few times, copy that whole longer list of bd codes and keep pasting it in the column, to cut down on the time it takes you.

The edits you make are stored in the fb save file. So yes. Different process than using rinaldo tools to edit the game files themselves.
Some universal edits -- giving players' their real birthdates but all in 1991 -- are pretty much impossible, this is the next best thing which for me is even too time-consuming. Me, I took one date code and gave it to all 18000 players, took 10 seconds to edit.

I too did the same, except few players that I'll use in career gave them their real bd using SOFIFA. Anyway we hardly here on commentary that he is playing on his bday and it doesnt matter much. Playing with all young players matters a lot, I dont want my CR7 to retire in few seasons
