It's dissapointing not to have the full world cup experience with qualifying round etc. I remember how fun it was qualifying with my national team for the 2014 world cup on the PS3. But then again, the DLC will be free

If we are lucky enough, we will have a new tool for modding and the possibility to make a full competition, not just world cup.
The real problem in my opinion are the stadiums. We will have a very hard time creating new ones with this new format.

Akinfeev face. Hell yeah. It only takes 16 years of being a #1 goalkeeper for your club and country, three Euros, a World Cup, winning the UEFA Cup, hundreds of UCL and UEL appearances and records plus more clean sheets in Russian football than any other goalkeeper for EA to give you a face in the game.

So it's 1 day until the release of World Cup add on.

Hopefully it ends up being a good dlc.

They say online friendlies and tournament mode are there, not just on FUT

So they added new FUT icons, right?

Time to modify the squad file again add them on offline mode.

So it's not possible to edit the squads directly from the game in World cup teams.

World Cup teams probably have different ids. If someone finds a way to edit squads in world cup mode, let me know.

LOL. Unbelievable. EA can't even get this right. NT squads are outdated.

I've lost hope in EA. Maybe 2022 world cup. Oh wait, they probably won't release separate game anymore.


They also had to make the lighting and grass color bad in world cup stadiums.

In FiFA 18, some stadiums look very good in day light and the grass color is green. While other stadiums having yellowish grass color still has better lighting to make it look good.

And then there's some stadiums where grass looks pale [in both day and night] and the lighting looks bad too [like in players body, etc]. And unfortunately all these newly added WC stadiums got bad lighting and grass color.

We can't even change mow patters [don't have any other weather than rain/clear, where the fuk is cloudy/overcast weather atleast?].

There are lots of simple details missing.



And there's the issue of not being able to customize the squads at all. So we won't be able to fix outdated and incorrect the squads/ add some players that are not in team if someone wants it.

Yeah its a free DLC but I hoped it wouldn't be a free dlc. I would rather buy a separate 60$ game that is polished. It's not like we get world cup game every year.

And this is the first time we're getting world cup game on pc after 2006 and it's again, another disappointment [Last time 2006 being a old gen port]. Infact 2006 and 2010 world cup felt much better than what we have now.

can anyone figure out how to put new scanned player faces in career mode. because made them available in world cup mode only......

so up to now it's clear why the DLC is for free.
non of the Teams, Kits or Faces got an Update in the regular game so the graphics are just available in the DLC Mod, that's just sad.

i was really excited to start a new carreer but now i'm in a bad mood don't want to play anyway

Has anyone extracted the tables from the DLC 2018 WC Update database? I need players, stadiums, teams, formations & kits info for my FIFA16 patch.

I don't know about you guys but I'm loving this FREE dlc!
All new graphics, all stadiums, full branding, correct kits, offline tournament, offline tournament, ~40 new faces, feels awesome.

I applied the update but for some reason didn't get playable stadiums.

Of course I'm hoping EA can introduce a proper 23 man squads update (e.g. Kambolov is already reaplaced by Ignashevich due to injury but he isn't in the DLC squad).

How did you do that ?

Played this recently and it’s upsetting, WC2014 was a whole experience, now they only care about FUT. Of course they gave us the stadiums and the official kits but i really expected more than a few faces and menu graphics...

It just feels like a mod instead of a fully featured game.
