Greetings,

I haven't posted any of my material here on SGF due to issues I have with the way that a site moderator conducts himself; however, I am going to begin sharing material again due to the fact that this used to be the best site for FIFA modding. If the community would rejoin this formerly invaluable resource for information and custom content, we would all benefit. Thus, my return.

I am going to start with something I made today. This is a quick mock up of the WC Logo/Watermark that we see here in the states. Import into overlay 9105 (or 8105 for FUT).

The file:

P.S. The scoreboard you see in one of the screenshots is not included. It is just a quick one I made after being unable to hex edit the WC SB such that it would find non-international team crests. If you like the scoreboard, I am happy to share it. It's nothing special... just a WC themed SB...

i like the scoreboard!. Could you share it and write where is it installed with the CG File Explorer? I would like to have it by default for friendly matches and custom tournaments. How could I do it?

Thanks for the kind words! I'm happy to share it:

Where you import the overlay depends on the game mode. If you would like to use it in friendlies and custom tournaments, replace overlay 9002.big (that would be under legacy/data/ui/game/overlays)

I use it in FUT... in fact I use all of my mods which only affect graphical interface in FUT, and I've never had any issues with EA; however, it is possible that EA might try and be ... well ... EA-like, and accuse you of cheating or issue a warning or some crap. I highly doubt it, though.

For FUT, import to replace 8002.big

riesscar, I inserted the .big file that you published but it does not modify the scoreboard. Is that file correct? Or maybe I'm not inserting it well myself.

riesscar, please tell me: is it possible to make Ligue 1 scoreboard?

Yes, it’s possible. I am still learning how to hex edit, though, so I cannot promise that it will be quick or perfect. Can you provide a picture of the scoreboard?

With what program are you modding? CGFE or Frosty? I’ll walk you through the steps.

CGFE. ¡Thanks!

No prob. Launch CGFE, select your .exe, if you’ve already got a mod going, load it and if not choose none. In the left hand column at the bottom, expand the legacy files. Now navigate to data/ui/game/overlays. If you are trying to import it for friendlies and tournaments, replace the file ‘overlay_9002.big’ with the file I posted. Now click the create mod button on the top, which should now be highlighted yellow. Allow the program to rebuild the relevant files, and then launch.

Let me know if you have further issues.

To clarify what I meant by ‘replace’: you need to select the import/export tab after you’ve double clicked the overlay file I mentioned. Then choose import, and browse to the file I posted. I’m not at my computer, so I’m reciting this from my memory (which is unreliable quite often), so I may be slightly off on the exact locations and names of files. If I am, let me know and I’ll post screenshots.

It worked!. They look great. Thank you so much!

After making a requested Ligue1 SB graphic, I realized that I did not know how to edit the color of the text... any of them. I originally sent this lackluster file:

I planned to consult the many more knowledgeable modders in the community (I have consulted and am awaiting a reply from three of four individuals versed in hex editing). I decided to give it another go, and I am pleased to say that I managed to hex edit the team color names, which -- as you can see from the image above -- was required for the SB to even be playable given the dark hue of that area of the scoreboard. I went with white for simplicity and to replicate a hex value in a SB file I was juxtaposing to find hex addresses.

Anyway, far from a finished product (I'd like to make the clock text color green and probably to adjust the font to one that is a little more unique... the latter of which I know how to do). Here is the unfinished, yet cleaned up and improved file for those who would like to use it in the meantime:

How do you edit scoreboard? Could you do a short tutorial? Maybe there are people who want to collaborate, we all win.

Credits to @FifaChoiGoNiya on discord for his guidance with hex editing.

Greetings riesscar, could you please do the UEFA CL scoreborad? thanks

CL scoreboards have been made by several people already. If you'd like I can send one to you, but I can't post other people's material without their permission

I am happy to help others edit, but I am far from a pro... I am still learning. Do you have CGFE 16 or CGFE 18? You'll need them to open the .big files. You can also edit the hex with them, but be very careful because any incorrect editing of hex can corrupt the file. You'll need to export the texture files... it's pretty clear what each is for, but don't hesitate to ask it you are unsure. You will need photoshop and you will need to know your way around it relatively well (not an expert or anything, but basic understanding of layers). If you do not know how to use photoshop, the first step is to learn. There are many tutorials on how to use it, including ones specific to FIFA 18. Check out the RedMessi one on youtube. I will make a SB tutorial when I have time and feel like I'm qualified to do so, but until then I am happy to answer any specific questions you may have.
