Thank god Germany won, I can't stand those disrespectful rednecks winning anything

    sure, in that sense yes

I did say a few posts up that if you consider the role Carrick played a "defensive midfielder" role then yes United played with a defensive midfielder every single game. Personally, I interpret that role as a "holding midfielder" but some don't make the distinction.

Except he played ahead of Scholes

Oh im so hurt (H) maybe if you weren't making shit up to prove your arguments then we'd have an intelligent conversation

    ManU thread 14/15

It was a discussion of whether playing Scholes or Pogba that season. And given Scholes' ability he would start any day (if fit). I never said that there is no point in having a DM in your squad when you have Scholes and none of my statements implied it. I have no way of telling if you failed to...

    ManU thread 14/15

In my thinking a DM is a player that is least advanced in midfield. In United's case this was Scholes, not Carrick. Unless we have a different understanding of where a defensive midfielder plays, I don't see a need for the world class team to have one in every game when they have a player...

    ManU thread 14/15

You consider Carrick a DM? Anybody that watched United play regularly would easily identify that the team would go from having no control of the midfield to having over half the possession when Scholes would come on as a sub. So in this case correlation is causation.

Is this what you are referring to? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2332592/Paul-Pogba-Alex-Ferguson-told-to-Italy.html I see no quote that would point to Pogba being "ignored for months, not even saying a word and then pulling a near 40 year old out of retirement". This...

Because we won 9 TITLES with a starting lineup that DID NOT have a defensive midfielder. How many times do I have to repeat it?

Source? And Paul Scholes' primary and only position was holding mid towards the end of his career.

    ManU thread 14/15

I strongly disagree. Pogba showed some decent promise in the 2nd half of the 2011-2012 season when we brought back Scholes. At that time he just turned 19 and it was clear that next season he would have been given the chance to break into the team and cement his place. Our midfield was in...

And I'm telling you that your thinking is too narrow-minded. Just because one successful team does it, doesn't mean that its the absolutely stone-wall must have rule, ESPECIALLY since United have been successful without a DM in the starting lineup. But keep using personal character attacks...

hahahahahahahahaha wow hahahahahha, I literally cannot stop laughing at how much you and Mus are clutching at straws just to try to argue a point that has HARD proof against it. I didn't say he keeps possession 100% of the time and finds anyone 100% of the time. Like, absolutely NO ONE...
