Diving button and Penalty Appeals

who r U to tell off someone for their suggestion?

if diving and appealing is a bad feature, why did they have it in the older games? hah!

erm.. sorry.. but how do you dive in fifa2003?

While we're at it, why don't we have insult buttons, where you
could make fun of players moms and theirself, so that when they
are about to tackle you you could insult them, they would get
angry and stop... Easier to pass them, but if they get a hold of
you, you would have to use the fight button, it would be a risky
feature in fifa!!!

Bad example???a if its in football then fifa should consider having it.

After all, fifa's aim is to involve as much realism in the game as possible...Don't know about you but hopefully FIFA 2005 will have shirt pulling and elbows to the face...

an appeal button wuld be pointless as it would just waste time and space, a return of the diving and fouling commands would be nice though

Though the diving button adds realism, I realised that I get tempted to use it often once I was successful.... really spoils the game.

But I think it would be interesting even if there isn't a diving button but randomly the Computer AI causes players to dive to get an advantage esp in the penalty box and the ref will either caution them or get fooled...

It would be really frustrating to the user playing and see the ref being fooled by the Computer AI who dives.... Something we as fans feel when we see real games where players dive and get away with it ya?

i'm sorry, but i have to correct you, fifa03 is not an older game before 04 comes out, i meant in f.ex wc98 and those.

Maybe the dive button could only be used succesfully if they shove you (with defensive freestyle control) and you exaggerate it. Otherwise it would result in you getting a card. I think it should be very difficult to do, so you don't do it often.

why dont they have riot button so when ur frustrated of gettin ur ass kicked on amateur level u can take it out on the fans

Haha... Skip..that's funny... Then we can have the managers and medics and riot police rushing onto the pitch.. then prob the Ref calls off the match... ha ha. but that's too exagerating liao ..

I think what Juventus 1 said is quite good too... maybe while jostling in the penalty box waiting for the corner if maybe the defender pushes you too hard.. can have a dramatic fall....

hee hee..or when the opponent kicks the ball at you, you fall to the ground clutching your face (doing a Rivaldo)

Overall if it adds realism... it should be added..just as they add fighting in NHL... with buttons for punching and kicking.. but not to that extend of FIfa having the players pulling punches....

I remember in FIFA 2002 or 2001, you could press L1 or something and you could put in a really hard tackle, like you were trying to injure the player, i loved that button, lots of reds. Heck that should just be available during Rival Mode.

If EA puts it in the game than at least it should be right, fake diving ends up a yellow card for the player if the ref notices it.

Why not?? on FIFA 98 diving was huge fun, I used to wind my mates up big style by diving loads and getting free-kicks and penalties, and surely that's what gaming's all about, enjoying yourself??

did any of you people see in fifa 03 when you would get hit with the ball in your own box and fall and the other team would get a penalty, whats up with that thats just a bug cause that would never happen in actual games
