when you refer to ronaldo use the word "WAS"...granted he still scores his share but what do you expect? he has the most talented midfield in the world to service him. real's players could make a star out of an old lady in an electric wheelchair.

1. read what I wrote ... it says "if they are like last year". To cut it out for you, this is my own presumption, not having got the game. If you don't know what a presumption is, it means the same as assuming. If you don't know what assuming means, look it up in a dictionary!
2. Ronaldo wasn't one of the best strikers of the world ... he was THE BEST STRIKER IN THE WORLD ... WAS. Ever since his injury he has lost his impressive form, and is now a high range attacker, yet I wouldn't kick Vieri for Ronaldo ... nor Del Piero. Personal opinion, which ppl should be civilized enough to respect.
3. In Real Life or In Game? In Real Life for sure.

but i don't believe deco is only in the 60s! it is further example that ea know **** all about football. at least sheva is 96. i hope robinho, diego, luis fabiano, alex are all at least in the 80s cos they don't deserve the **** ratings they got last year. and tevez too.
IMO vieri deserves 97 (he is inter's only good player - without him they would suck even more) and ronaldo deserves 98 (c'mon guys he is leading scorer in spain and has won 3 world player of the years.) makes you wonder, why did inter let ronaldo go? they would have the best strike force. and then they let crespo go to!!! and then they wonder why they suck!

i dunno why ibrahimovic is 91 while van der vaart isn't in the list. i never seen ibrahimovic do **** all - he is just young and tall so every1 reckons he is class. but van der vaart is awesome.

where is arjen robben? and where is duff, giggs, pires - the three best left midfielders in the world?!?! why the hell is rivaldo 92? he can't even make one appearance for us this season, obviously showing there are 20-odd players better than him in our squad.

adriano is right at 94. every1 else is pretty much right. i just hope those south american based players are good cos if not i will have to finally boycott all remaining fifa games forever until ea make them good (i buy fifa on gamecube and cannot edit the stats).

i know this sounds like a whinging but i'm just a bit disapointed that ea could fail on the easiest part of the game - the part that requires no fancy graphics, no programming - just a bit of knowledge!

note that this was compiled by a human... and is thus subject to human error... its quite possible that he missed a few players far and wide...

I really thought Duff would be in the 91+ range this year... If he's some stupid stat like 78 again, Im not buying the game. And O'shea is still only 76... and I bet Carr is still only 72 or so, even after winning best left back of the premiership!

Do you really think that 20-odd players on Milan are better than Rivaldo? It is true that Rivaldo is over 30 years old now, and he doesn't have the speed and fitness he once did, but he still has the amazing skill and talent that made him one of the legends of the sport. The only player on Milan that can compare to him in terms of skill is Shevchenko. The reason that he doesn't get to play is because of a personal fued between him and the manager. If he were no longer a great player, would he still be a first team forward for Brazil? Just because Adriano scores 90% of Parma's goals, does not mean that he should be rated 94. Beattie scores 90% of Southampton's goals, so should he be rated equal to Henry or Owen?

I personally think a rating of 98/100 is too high for any player, even the best in the world. I liked the fact that the highest rated players in FIFA 2003 (Davids, van Nistelrooy, Keane, and maybe there were some others I am forgetting) had a rating of 94. Personally, the first thing I will do before I play is edit all the stats for all the major teams the way I see fit. No one will be rated 98. But I guess all those who play on consoles are screwed. THank God for the Creation Centre.

where is the Argentina's fantasista in Valencia, Aimar?
he should be rated at least 94, like previous FIFA 2003.
If EA knows his quick dribble, nice ball touches, and perfect through passing, he would be rated as 100. He is always the helper in scoring goal for Valencia.

thanks for someone if s(he) gives Aimar's rating

Well, let´s hope no old lady in an wheelchair scores 8 goals in the next World Cup like in the last one...
Many have tried, but in the last 30 years or so only one player scored more than 7 goals in one World Cup, and I think it wasn´t an old lady...

why are you all so anti-ronaldo!

i am not even a real madrid fan but i will stick up for him. hell i'm not even much of a fan of his. but i know how good a player he is.

have you seen his record? it is absolutely amazing if you think a great striker scores every second game. if you haven't seen it i will post it for you here:

PSV: 13 matches / 12 goals (1995/1996)
Barca: 37 matches / 34 goals (1996/1997)
Inter: 32 matches / 25 goals (1997/1998)
19 matches / 14 goals (1998/1999)
7 matches / 2 goals (1999/2000)
0 matches / 0 goals (2000/2001)
10 matches / 7 goals (2001/2002)
Real Madrid: ? matches / 23 goals (2002/2003)
? matches / 12 goals (2003/2004)

Total: 161 matches / 129 goals

(assuming he played 30 matches in 2002/2003 and 13 in 2003/2004)

btw, that is only in league games (scored even more in europe/cup matches)

oh and do i have to mention his international record? we all know that is more of the same. you don't become the only player to score 8 gols in a world cup without having skill.

and btw, someone said rivaldo is good...well if the latest italian radio poll is anything to go by, all of italy disagrees with you - he has been voted the worst player in italy! the italians know their football, and if you saw him play last year you would've seen he was not deserving of a rating of 92. (i don't believe he is the worst in italy but i was just getting evidence.)

I just came across this thread and notice what you wrote.
In 2003 check parma, there is a guy who is 97, i think you will be shocked like me.(i never heard about him)

I think Zidane should be the best all around player.
I dont say he is the fasteest, best tacklin player, but overall he is the best in my opinion, thats why i think EA should make something about the stats, so a player with all 9's would be either better or worse than an overall 90.
Something was in CM, and i liked it , although i really missed the graphics, sometimes i couldnt visualize the gameplay,as what to change when i get a goal etc.
Maybe in 2005.2015?
Bye
