Anyway yup it's only gonna be released as DVD-ROM
Doesnt really matter you can get a DVD-ROM for like 30-50$ not that bad.. and hey guess what you can even watch movies (DVD'S) on your pc after you installed the drive ;)

I hope it is otherwise i'll be upset. I don't want to get a dvd-rom just for one game. Although the future of pc games looks to be DVD-Rom's

Yeh, DVD-Rom has become standard i'm afraid, other publishers will follow suit.

Its either DVD-Rom, or have 3 or 4 CD's I'm afraid.

£20 for a DVD-ROM from LiteON(They rock)

ok LiteON is best brand? One other person said Sony when I asked him. I'd have to buy a mpeg card later to make the most of DVD movies etc right? Also I don't recall any other games being DVD format on Computer! I guess they have to start copying the concoles?

The max install size for PES3 is around 5 gig, for it to be on cds this would require an installer that spans 5+ disks, which to me sounds like the tech is becoming cumbersome and obsolete.

With a dvd player you will be able to watch DVDs on your Monitor but to watch them on your tv you need a vid card that has tv-out (Ati tv wonders are excellent, cheap cards)

Liteon is a very good brand. I'd be careful with Sony drives, as a general rule copy protection works really well on their drives ;)

Yeah I have Gainward Geforce 4ti 4200 with TV out.
Liteon doesn't have copy protection on their drives?
I'd need to get a mpeg2 card for a better DVD picture right?

!

that should be fine, i use my computers dvd player without a mpeg2 card, infact no-one i know has one

mpeg2s were needed to accelerate the playback of dvd's etcso that less sytem resources is used, which was useful when people had old style pre 1 gig pc's. now the usual hardware is powerful enough to provide everything u need really

but it could be a slightly better pic with an mpeg2 card, but not worth it.

I've only got a p3700mhz and 256ram. So i still need a mpeg2 card? Also how could the game be on CD-rom aswell. That would make it 5+ CDs or have less on the CD-rom version.

I'm 99% sure that the CD rom stated in the features or wherever it is is a typo/translation error(the site is in 5 different languages)

The only platforms it has listed is PS2 and PCDVD

Glory: It's a bit confushing because some websites say its DVD-rom and when you look at the specs of the game you see it says CD 1 etc..
Anyway regarding the specs of my Geforce card, where would I find them? On the box? Manual?

I'm not sure its worth getting the game for my computer anyway.
I've tried different settings to make the demo work alot better.
It runs fine except when I'm about to shoot. Really sh!ts me :(
I hope with the full version they found these problems and fixed them, hence the delay of releasing it. I don't want to buy a DVD-Rom and the game to find out it runs badly.
My p3 700mhz doesn't reach to system requirements of 800mhz but I have a decent video card. Only 100mhz difference :P
Maybe more than 256 ram would help

I did find this on the box:

Gainward's XP-Feature for Video-In and Video-Out
Gainward's award-winning XP feature, also know as "VIVO", provides two video-in connectors and two video-out connectors (both composite video and s-video for PAL and NTSC) for smooth video recording and video editing including accelerated DVD playback with enhanced motion compensation in hardware.
