Is the commentary slow or what?

Ok, so I'm playing, and i take a shot. the golie catches the ball and kicks it out. and at that point the commentary starts to say: And theres a room for a shot.
I MEAN THAT HAPPENED 5 SECONDS AGO!!!!! Is that just my game or is he slow with everyone?? and anyone know how i can fix that?

are u playing on the PS2? I've noticed that too. You take a shot the goalie saves it and it goes out for a corner or something John Motsen is saying, "what a shot! oh oh he thought he scored but the goalie comes up with a remarkable save..." something like that and he says all that when the screen cuts away to the corner kick. But I do like some of the new things they added to the commentary like when john and ally are just chating and they laugh..that makes it seem more realistic. I just hope they fix it next year.

Maybe Jon and Ally are watching the game on satellite.

Yep happens to me on ps2 as well. Its a bit of a dissapointed because the commentators talk about things like euro 2004, advertising, etc. which is very good. But on the other side the commentry is slow when it comes to the playing of the game.

unfortunately this is true for PC too...not only that, but they often say totally the wrong thing! The other day I I had a shot and the keeper saved it (held onto the ball with ease) and 5 seconds later Motson says "oh, he's tipped that over" or something along those lines...i've had quite a few bugs like this...it seems to get really out of synch when there's lot's of action happening...if you have 2 or more pings in quick succession they really get all screwed up and just saying wrong stuff that didn't happen at all...another bug...all the FIFA's have had this kind of bug in the commentary but this year's version seems more exaggerated i think

not in xbox, but it hapens on pc

the best thing is during 3rd division games and they talk about EURO 2004 - when none of the players even would get paid enough for the plane ticket to Portugal.

Overall it is pretty good, just a little repetitive. There also seems to be less delay on Xbox compared to PS2.


PC problems might be down more to old hardware. Some mistakes might also be from scratched disc, but it's not the most important thing........

Oh...there's a slow delay for me too....but the most annoying thing is the commentary in general. 90% same **** like last year...I'm so bored of the voices of Motson and McCoist. Can't they find another commentators....?!!!

I think it's kinda cool, I mean another bug, I truly think FIFA 2004 will go into history as the Ultimate Bug-release!

has anyone noticed, when you take a penalty, the commentator says 'over the wall and in the back of the net, great penalty'

I think they should get Martin Tyler and Andy Gray from Sky Sports to do the commentry next year, cause most footy is shown on Sky anyway and they are much better commentaters. When did you last hear John Motson and Ally McCoist commentating together they both work on different Tv stations.

They should keep the old ones, and add 2 new lets say. So we have some variety... and maybe someone withought a British accent because it kind of gets annoying after a while.
