Penalty Shootouts

Is it just me or does the comp goalie know every single move that you do. Ive had at least 10 penalty shootouts in the FA Cup and stuff and I am not joking I have scored twice. Ive lost 3-0 so many times and my closest I got was when i got 4-1 twice. Ive tried being both teams and every time the goalie is like superman. And the shooters always score ive made one save ever. Its bull and You cant win or at least I cant, ive tried it on amateur to world class and still cant win. WHAT CAN I DO.

It is all about instinct. You have to know where there going. I guess some people have it and some people do not. It is all about knowing the player and guessing where he thinks you are going to go and then go the other way. I know it sounds lame but it works for me as I have stoped about half the penalties I give up online.

a tip to save penalties

keep tapping these button continuesly at the same time when the CPU are taking the penalty:
S + D + LEFT + RIGHT

did it make some weird sound, because that happened to me alot when i first had the game, no it dosnt do it anymore. either that or ur ps2 is stuffed

actually i agree with Eddy...u r right mate...i do exactly the same thing...since penalty shootout for me its pure luck so i press cotninuasly the A and S button and all the arrows and many times that thing really worked out...i had really good results...so i recommend it to all of ya...

ive won two penalty shootouts in a row!

I tried that and it didnt work You know how you get to the perfect amount of power and the goalie never gets it. Well I got perfect and I swear the goalie did like a slow mo jump in the air and grabbed it perfect, I swear it was going top right perfect. I did save two though from eddy's way so it does kind of work but Ive had two sets of shootouts so far. I reckon Its rigged for me. Either that or im crap.

for me..it's really hard to win a game in pro mode....
i play with ac milan..in the leage..and the majority of my games are draws...
but when i play for the coppa nazionale...i am so happy when i draw because i know i can go to the penalty shootout...
this is what's weird..i've done the PS about 30 times now since i've bought the game...and about 27 of them i won...i get like 3 blocks..and i score 3 times..and i win..it's almost always like that...
so...no ..i don't think there's anything wrong with the game...

If you hold a penalty watch it in the replay. Move with freecam to the side and you will see de goalkeeper catching the ball 5 (!) metres before de line! That's a really stupid bug.

Once I aimed at the top corner on the right Seaman saved it. Later on I got bored and I restarted the game.
Again I got a penalty, this time I aimed it at the bottom left corner and he bloody saved it again.

the penalty shootout system in the game is very bad, If you aim to top corner as long as keeper guesses right he will save it. I played against my brother and i told him to make the goalkeeper to dive to the left into the air and i will shoot left on the ground and the keeper will always save it thats frustrating at times because all you have to do is aim right or left and hope the keeper dives the wrong way because if he dives the right way he will save it always. Crap

i'm playing at World Class and when i'm the GK i stop the ball - something like 7\10 times ....
i shooted only 5 times i think and never miss ...

dont press the direction you want to shoot until the last second, works 85% of the time on XBOX, or im just really good at penalties......

Yeah I dont know what you guys mean. I score about 9 of 10 penalties and save anout half of them. And this is on world class.

When I shoot, I let the power bar go up just till the red, aim top or bottom and to a corner, usually always works, less he guesses right.

Saving, just pick left or right and hit circle, its just guessing the right way. I have found the AI usually goes to his right, so I usually pick that way.
