Free kicks

Is it me or does the cpu never score from a free kick. Ive played this game since the release but the cpu has never scored from a free kick. Mostly they shoot over the goal. So im never afraid when they get a free kick near the box.
Also ive never scored from a free kick myself, but I think that my own problem.
The thing I also noticed is that the cpu doesnt tackle you often, or the referee doesnt call for a foul, which is very annoying at times

nahh... they score on free kicks... especially when its Roberto Carlos/Beckham/all the good FK takers....

I play PES 3 piece of time and CPU never scored from free kick too (:/) (even on five stars)

I've scored in match just two times - both with Beckham
What's intersting when I played PES 1 and ISS/WE 2k2 series on PSX, free kicks was performed normally- if I played against good team with good f.kick executor, a chance I'll lost a goal by stunning free kick was pretty high

In PES 3 PC konami kicked this feature off (:/) I think...

The CPU does score from fk's.

@ Jeremie: there are more than Carlos/Beckham players which should score from free kick more often than now, especially they should send the ball in wide (now too many shots going over a bar, like MisterM noticed)

One day i was playing and dominated the all game until 90 minutes. I made a foul from 30 m... Computer never scored me a goal from a free kick so i was safe...

Then, he shoots and scored the most amazing goal i saw until now! WTF great goal...

I was pissed off and almost break my keyboard...

yes CPU players scores from free kicks...

I didn't write cpu never score fk's... I wrote it never score against me - maybe I foul too little ?

but what is annoying cpu should score fk's more often than one per 25 matches... and really pissed is they hardly ever shot in wide (e.g. that my keepers can save it)
most of cpu fk shots goin' crowd...

CPU scored against me couple of times. But I've scored just few times
I need more pratice

when i play versus england ,beckham is a FK mastah.on 2 star difficulty he shoot from impossible place.hes crazy for example from 23-24 meters he shoot and the ball hit 2 posts and he score

how do u score free kicks, i havent even scored one, btw i have the demo

btw.. every player has his own fk shot in this game i think.. i usually take fk with beckham (masterleague-team).. so when i play against my friend, than i choose another team (e.g. AC Milan) and then ... woooo!!the same powerbar the same shot given by me but the ball goes over the bar - with beckham this was either a goal or an amazing save by the goalkeeper!

and: the cpu DOES also score from freekicks!!! and they really can score amazing goals from the far, too!!

so from the two pics below where do i hit the power bar until and also from teh pic where will teh ball go if i dont put any direction into it?

I remember it exactly 'cause in this match (AC Milan vs. Sout Africa) I scored my first goal from half ! with Shevchenko

holy right! just go to Edit Mode-> Players and note that you can set up 6 different styles (A-F) of free kick taking!
I tried one of it to Kluivert and its absolutely another type of shot (you know Carlos style, Beckham style etc.) and he shoted like Del Piero Special Lob style or something

of course shot ability has carry weight on same shot (FK Acurracy, Power, Curling, actually condition etc)

CPU does score from freekicks, some guy from lazio scored a free kick agaisnt me, was a cracker of a goal too

Yep computer opponents have never scored a freekick against me,ive played 7 seasons of ML,done all the international cups and havent seen one go in. Also i think ive had about 2 penalties since ive played the game and given away a couple.

In the first shot, fill the power bar to just a tad above half, point the player to the position you see in the screenshot (if the player has a good curve), and press left on the gamepad, after pressing square to shoot...

In the second shot, fill the power bar to 3/4, point the player a little to the right of the goal, and press up and left on the gamepad, after pressing square to shoot.

you cant just tell someone how far to put the power bar on the FK bar.

Things alter it like abilites and if you are holding the direction stick up or down, or if you are holding r1 or r2.

gotta just practice

i can hit the near post from 23m in the upper 90's almost everytime now.
