Things that annoy me online....

1. People who use the offside trap when they know they suck, and will NOT beat you even using it.
2. People who no matter when where or why they pass press the off the ball button, this is by the far the most annoying piece of **** EA have introduced and I hope they take it away from online next year because all it does is allow for inferior Carlos*asses to use it to a visual advantage, it's a piece of crap, and I hope that the asshole at FIFA who decided to change the view everytime it's use is shot, executed, and rots in hell.
3. When someone tackles you outside the box just so they dont give a penalty and so that you can't score, by far one of the biggest low blows to give someone and it pisses me off when this isnt even carded half the time.
4. The fact that it takes no skill to take or save a penalty.
5. The fact that you can NOT connect more than 3 games(let alone 2) without it being unable to connect.
6. If you can't connect you MUST restart your PS2, another gay **** by FIFA, yeah it's my firewall... yeah it must be since its DEACTIVATED. Next year make better servers and I won't be pissed. And I know for a fact it's YOU servers since I have plenty of other EA titles which work ******* CRISPING CLEAR when I work online WITHOUT any of FIFA's stupid connection faults.
7. The fact that half of the offsides online are never called back, I'm all up for realistic reffing, but online where a result does count, I'd like for every damn call to be made. I don't want to have to break my PS2 and remote because some dip**** at EA thought it would be funny.
8. How hard can it be to get a messaging system that's GOOD? The online messaging system sucks(in chats). Simple as that.
9. Very recent but a new problem, why can't I view my stats? Are you guys pissed that the guy who's in first has more or so the same exact number of games lost as won?
10. Some newbie douchebag can go online win a game and he gets ranked and I play 120 games and no rank? Beautiful ranking EA, ABSO*******LUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

It's nice to know EA saves not just the good gameplay but the good online play for OTHER EA titles. Shows you care, EA.

lol..correction to number 2.Off the ball control is a very good thing.U complain about it because u don't know how to use it well.I too used to hate it last time but after playing and playing i realised that off the ball is so great..Lol go practice more

Reread it. When you click the off the ball control the vision is changed. Play online against a douchebag who does this EVERY SINGLE TIME he gets the ball. It's annoying zooming and out every 2 seconds.

I know how to use OTB, and it was MEANT for attacking purposes not make this game boring as ******* hell purposes.

Yes the offside trap is very cheap, just make a note of the people that do it and don't play them.

Off the Ball can get annoying when people use it alot, I only ever use it when crossing the ball from the wing.

I agree with cheap tackles outside the box but it's the same as the offside trap, the people that do it are usually not good sports and you'd be better off not playing them.

Penalties yeah they are a bit easy to score and save but you can't make them too complicated gotta keep the game moving.

The rest I don't know about cause I play on PC and rankings don't really worry me I play for fun it doesn't matter if you win or lose.

A few things that I'd like to see in online matches is to be able to chat to your opponent in game. The game should go to the pause menu as soon as it loads so both people can set up their team and then start. Also would like to see 2 on 2 matches with 4 different people. We used to do this in NHL 2001 it was alot of fun teaming up with someone you don't know working together to score goals

beating the offside thing is easy, when someone does it, quit the game, thanks to the smart EA guys, it gives the other guy the loss

FIFA 2004 is not an arcade game... online games are usually fast paced and competetive. Hell i'm sure after playing for a while you try to score from the same spots again and again, you subconciously find the exploits and thats the only way to win.

Santino, I,m with you on this. I have left games as soon as someone does this crap. I mostly password my games and discuss terms before I let someone in. I was playing someone recently who agreed not to do it, he then did it once so I froze for above 30 seconds so he could rethink. He then did it again late 2nd half, so I quit. I also freeze for about 2 minutes when people wanna watch replays over and over. Once replay is enough if you need to watch it. I dont.
I want fun in the game and to get some feeling of playing proper soccer in this clumsy game of EA's. That offside thing is a bug and oK somepeople just wanna win so badly they resort to anthing, including that crap. If you quit on them (not because your losing) because they do it I dont blame you. Those plonkers ciko and captain-beckham can feck off. I dont quit to cheat, I quit cause I wanna play a soccer sim, not win at all costs to climb that stupid ladder of EA's. I fact, I bet they use that tactic as they didnt make any comment on how it spoils the game.
