The weird part is this is totally different to what happened to Foe. Feher had just received a yellow card, was bent over looking at the ground and then it happened. It's hard to imagine seeing "football" as the cause of death on a death certificate... very hard... :(

Damnit... I was looking at how this thread was growing up rapidly, and i wasnt caring so much about it, i thought it was an injury or something like that. I wish i didnt open this thread, it just ruined the rest of my already ruined day... First, Leonidas dies, then Brazil fails to qualify to the Olympics and now this. RIP Fehér.:(

I really haven't sunk in. Can't believe he is dead. Just can't grasp the reality. I know these are the stages one goes through when someone 'close' to you dies, but... It will be hard to not see him running again on a football field...
Shame how he was always a tortured sould who never achieved his maximum goals. His struggle at Porto with the board, his fight for a place in Benfica... He only had glory when he was in Braga, really. At least that showed us what he was made of: a Lion's heart, always fighting against adversity. That was probably his greatest quality!
I remember his fantastic goal for Benfica in the beginning of this season, in the Boavista stadium, for the UEFA Cup. I'll try to remember that goal every time I think of him from now on!

Remember how Pavão died so long ago and still people talk about it? I think today we witnessed a moment that will mark sports in our country. It will be hard to see Benfica play without him, it will be hard to watch a game at Guimarães stadium and not remember his death. It won't be the same from now on.

Oh, and I hope Benfica retires his number.

Descansa em paz, Miklos Feher!

Yes, I totally understand what you're saying, Infesta. It seems like it isn't real, but unfortunately it is. Very sad... :( The following months will be very strange and hard, but as you say, this is something that's gonna mark portuguese sport forever.

Your idea of Benfica retiring his number is great, hope it really goes ahead. It's an homage more than deserved and the least the club can do. Maybe Benfica supporters should report this idea to the club staff.

Fehér, you will always be in our minds and in our hearts!
