more than 5 boots mite be possible!

i may not b a computer genius, but i think i've found a breakthrough in getting > 5 boots into the game

after using the FatGui, we noe that adding new files into the zdataxx.big files are possible
so, i xperimented by adding a new boot into it zdata04.big naming it playertexobj.texobj11__texture1020305845__6

then, by using UniDB (v1.0 - i still couldnt get the v2.03 s filefront is giving me problem!) i converted the .db files into access

then, i play around with the players table & came to column 'shoecolor'
s we all noe, 1 is white, 2 is black, 3 is blue, 4 is red & 5 is yellow
so, i tot that by changing the parameter which was 1<x>5 to 1<x>30???
then, i keyed in 6 for the shoe color for a player
saved it, & converted it back to .db file

add playertexobj.texobj11__texture1020305845__6 into zdata04.big & of course, use FatGui

when i started the game, i can see the 6th boot in the game!


but i encountered another prob here...
i dunno y, but i have some probs converting the access files into .db files
Bsides, s i'll not b free after 2moro, i'll need ppl to xperiment it 2 prove i'm rite!
another prob is, when i use the CC or DBEditor, i can't choose the 6th boot s there r only 5 options!

there4, i hope when the next DBEditor (if there is any) is out, we can add in s many s we can.

ppl... s i've only tried once bcoz i've problem converting the files, can some1 pls try it & do sumthing about it

i don't wanna try 2 convert the files again s they sumtimes corrupt those files

i've got it once, hope it will b able 2 b used by ne1 else
if not, it's just too bad
but... at least we have a chance!

wat i meant was parameter was the maximum of 5...
we can change the parameter to the maximum that we like!

I had been doing the same thing a month or two ago, but I edited the database and added the new boots and the game just crashed. What exactly did you use fatGui to do? It didn't exist when I was experimenting with increasing the number of boots, but maybe we can finally crack this thing, working together...?

FatGui is a program from fifaecp which compresses files into the zdataxx.big files. howeva, u'll still need 2 add files into zdataxx.big files using ea graph. unlike bigGui, the files u added into the zdataxx.big r recognised by the game (we noe that bigGui can only compress the files & even when we import files into zdataxx.big wif ea graph, the game will not recognise the imported files)

i s'posed u had been doing the same thing that i did by editing the database (i'm no major DB editor, no IT background!, lol...) & i guess wateva u'd done r on the rite track.
so the only thing rite now is to get FatGui to compress all the added files into the zdataxx.big files 2 b able 2 use them!

wat i'm trying to say is that edit the access - teams - shoecolor parameters to say... 30 (so that we can play wif 30 different boots!)
then, assign boots 6,7,8,9..... 30 to the players u want.
after that, add the boot files (playertexobj.texobj11__texture1020305845__6,7,8,9 ...) into zdata04.big using ea graph
then compress the new zdata04.big file wif FatGui
i think it'll b able to work then!

sorry to get all of u so xcited... but i haf to say that i only got it once. s mentioned, i haf difficulties converting my access files back to .db files wif UniDB v1.0 (dunno y) & can't seem to get UniDB v2.0 from filefront!

Bsides, i won't b free 2moro onwards (i'm actually on 'study leave' since the beginning of May until the 26th s i hafta prepare for my professional exams, which obviously, is not wat i'm doing rite now! due to FIFA!) s i seriously think that i need 2 catch up wif my studies! after that, it's back 2 work! no fifa then!

howeva, hope that my xplanation would b enuff 4 ne1 2 understand & continue 2 make it possible 2 play wif more than 5 boots!
other than that, any upcoming fifa db editors should incorporate this into it to make it easier for us! this is bcoz the editors only gives u 5 options!

Basically it might just be possible to add a 6th boot, with the help of a few guidelines, i mean why should it be impossible if your adding new values the only problem is will fifa get its small brain scrambled and crash??? As keegan found....

Basically, the 'tiny brain' of FIFA is all stored in the fifa.fat file. It keeps track of which .BIG file has what, and how many files are there in all and stuff.

So if it find that there are some additional files, it'll either ignore them, or crash.

I'm working on it as well, but remember Keegan, always back-up the original fifa.db file....

yes it is possible to add more boots but only up until about nine, if i can remember correctly. And the reason why you can't convert your editied db file to access again is because you have changed the validation rules in access.

What i found was that obviously the number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc are stored in the database as hexidecimal. However putting the hexidecimal of 20 into the database file and placing a boot texture named playertexobj.texobj11__texture1020305845__20, will not work because fifa just works on like a loop. (Sorry for Vague Description shall explain more after my exam.)

yes i've been doing all this stuff but with balls some weeks ago... but without using fatgui (it didnt come yet), i used breamster id technology, so im playing with 14 balls and 71 adboards hehe:D

What u actually got it too work? Cus as i was saying i could only get a maximum of 9 boots. I havn't tried it with adboards or anything like that. Shall have a mess for a while now see what i can do.

Hmmm....the game doesn't crash, but the boots don't show either.

For example, I tried changing Javier Zanetti (ID: 1041)'s shoe colour to 6, and then imported the database back again using UniDB. Then, I imported playertexobj.texobj11__texture1020305845__6 back into 2gboots.big, and rewrote fifa.fat using FatGUI, but I only got a red and green colour, implying that it did not read the texture.

So, I came to the conclusion that there's nothing wrong with the technique, just the file number.

You see, Ariel Santarelli has programmed the fifa.fat file to accept only the 5 boots, and not anything additional. For this simple reason, the referee boots are not 2G boots either.

Therefore, my guess is that even if we do import more than 5 boots, the rest will unfortunately, not be 2G boots, unless we can figure out a way to make fifa.fat accept them.

well as far as i can see it, you have nearly got the technique right, however just dont import the files into 2gboots.big because the fatGUI will only rewrite the fat file for zdata1-6. So go into boot raptor and disable 2gboots. Then extract all the files in the 2gboots.big and import them into zdata4.big. Rewrite the fat file using FatGUI. and test then add playertexobj.texobj11__texture1020305845__6 into zdata4.big. Make sure you compress all the files you are importing. Now again rewrite the fat file and play.

It should work. Because what fatGUI seems to be able to do is allow for files to be of any size, therefore we can have 2G anything. all you have to do is replace the file and rewrite the fat file.

Did you use a previously used boot or you made a new one using FSHTOOL or EA Graph???

Tell me maybe i can solve part of the problem...
