whenever i try to take an accurate, not very powerfull shot the player makes a lob instead of taking a shot, wtf?????? this has cost me many goals!!!!! how the hell do i disable it

you surely press R1 after shot, it's a soft lob so don't do it; or you have set up in controls "hit shot button repeatedly for lob shot" - so turn it OFF

I had the same problem with WE6FE. I pressed R1 without knowing it, and I screwed up so many goals.

Chop your finger, you don't need all 5.
