The Regen Test

There is some sort of regeneration, or the game would become unbalanced. They'll have it more varied now, as the earlier regen system was too easy to crack.
Just looking for an excellent French prospect when Zidane retires, isn't exactly challenging.

So: The regen system DOES still exist, but it is NOT useful anymore to use it to find talents.

It still aint hard to find good regens. Just makes it harder to find regens from specific players. So what?
