Career mode is very hard to swallow
I've spend a lot of hours on career mode since I got the game, but I find it very hard to swallow.
On the good side, it works much better than last time, with the players getting grades after a match and showing the teams' happiness, etc. Not bad at all.
But the thing is, I have no choice but to start with a small team and only teams I'm really not interested in in real life - I don't mind not being able to start with Barcelona, Ajax, etc, but playing a whole season with Bristol Rovers or Sheffield Utd isn't exactly something I find very interesting.
But being really honest, there's one main problem that makes playing a whole season an ordeal:
The games themselves are so terrible boring......they are dull...nothing happens since 7 or 8 players of your team are completly static and don't move along when you press forward.
I already read this in a few reviews, and it's no ranting, but a real problem: When I attack, my defenders always stay near my own goal! My midfielders never press forward enough to support the fowards, except for the lonely winger that tries to move forward a bit.
So the gaps between my lines are far too big - as soon as my forward looses the ball the opponent can rush or pass forward all the way to my penalty box without ever seeing a midfielder.
I know for sure that EA did this to make the game happen at both goals, instead of going back and forth on the midfield all the time (like in real life - which is boring ofcourse).
But really, I've played all my career mode games for half a season with a few teams in different regions and no matter which system or tactic I use, it all ends up in the same unexciting, dull game.
I hope others will have fun with this game, cause I'm bored to death allready.
Sorry for being so negative, but it really spoiled all the fun of wanting to pick the game up again and play another game.
rork
PS And no, I'm not trying to be unreasonable nor do I like PES better (I hate the way players are stuck in PES - drives me insane!).
