Just back in now, dissapointed, if the penalty didnt happen, i felt we were getting a goal, the crowd were right behind the team, credit to norway though, better team easily. Riise (sp) played very well 2day IMO, we looked ok in patches, we were pretty poor overall, need a new manager, dalglish or strachen for me

I think Berti definitely has to go now. We're out of the World Cup already and to be honest, I think we're fighting with Moldova to see who finishes bottom of the group.

But the really depressing thing is that I don't think that bringing in a new manager is really going to make a huge difference. The players are very ordinary. The so called "stars" of the team, guys like Fletcher, they really ain't that good - they probably wouldn't have got anywhere near the Scotland squad of 10 years ago, and 10 years ago we were bemoaning the lack of quality of players we had.

The cupboard has never looked so bare. I guess we can't get much lower so, by default, the only way is up......or I suppose we could just stay at the bottom for years to come.

I think I might start supporting England :hump: .

I'm sure the coach of San Marino might argue that point.

Interesting to note Italy lost to Slovenia. Maybe Just maybe we have one last chance, but we HAVE to beat Italy in Glasgow to get a play-off place.

We play in Moldova on Wednesday. Italy only scraped out a 1-0 win in Moldova yet people seem to think that Scotland should just stroll in and take the points. I think we'll do well to get a 0-0 draw.

As for beating Italy at Hampden? Well, we haven't scored a goal against Hungary, Slovenia or Norway in our last 3 Hampden matches....hardly the best teams in the world....so I don't see any reason to believe we can score against Italy, one of the best defensive teams in the world, let alone beat them.

And even if we did, we still have to play away to Norway, Slovenia, Italy and Belarus. 4 defeats, me thinks.

anyway, rather pish game im no even watching it on wednesday cause care. i hope we lose then berti goes, cos win or lose we wont get 2nd so CARE. who knows, maybe if sullivan was in goals and winters was upfront and we actually had a right back in the squad we'd of managed a result nice one berti.

craig gordon just gives me the ****s big time, so will marshall probably but thats the only other keeper picked, NICE ONE BERTI! ide much rather sullivan back in goals, ide also rather mcnaughton as opposed to caldwell, burke instead of fletch and winters instead of miller but the legend that is berti didnt even select them the little genuis. and seve is only playing cos i wouldnt risk fergushun.

That has to be the worst Scotland line-up I've ever seen in my life. Not having a go at you, Granite, just expressing my dismay at how pathetic our players are.

I can't think of anything else to say really, apart from that its a sad state of affairs when its 2 games into the campaign and you already know that we're not going to qualify:(
