I heard on the news tonight that the homeless rate in Sri Lanka is up to the millions and a major epidemic could unfold in the next few days... :o

My thoughts with everyone affected by this terrible disaster :(

my friend and his family are away on holiday in Sri Lanka, and they just escaped the waves by climbing on to a roof. They're "alright" though...

Malaysia wasnt supposed to be affected in the first place.

Malaysia is 'geografically safe'.

The waves from the middle of the ocean were travelling at 500 mph but slowed down and hit Northern Malaysia at 80mph.

we are out of earthquake zone but this is tsunami :|

i saw it on tv, Aceh are horrible now. Bangladesh and Phuket are almost like the island under water :(

Nature does not like to see us celebrate these days. Last year the earthquake in Bam (Iran), and now SouthEast Asia. we really don't deserve it.. :(
and all these tragic things always hit the poor ones.. :( RIP.

THX god ..lucky it did not affect Singapore

I'm not trying to be funny but if it did indeed affect Singapore it could have done some serious damage to that little island of yours.

there wasn't any alert system because the indian ocean never had a tsunami before i think, unlike the pacific ocean. death toll is 27K now i think..
