cant access website, help please.

i know this thread has been made several times before, which i have gone back and looked through and none help me.

ive clicked on all the links (backdoors) to mz but still none work.

the problem is the site just wont open on my computer, since monday.... just said connection to managerzone timed out blah blah.

i have tried it with internet explorer, netscape and opera browsers, all with same result.

if anybody has any suggestions please let me know...

or if anyone knows what the problem is.

this is a private computer so the address wasnt banned or anything and was working fine til monday night.

It's down again

wah!.... found out if i unplug my beoadband and plug it back in .. the site if it didnt work, works.

wierd.

Can't log in this evening. Is it just me (ie some idiot has suspended me / stole my password) or is the site messed up again?

i cant get in either very wierd!

Even SG went down. Okay, for maintenance or something, but at least we knew. Why haven't MZ told us anything? Maybe they haven't been able to.

Hmm... remember the problems in Sweden last time the site wouldn't load? Maybe something beyond their control has happened again. Maybe not to that large an extent, but something's happened to the servers.

Has been down a long time. Would have thought some sort of message could have been put out by now. No-body seems to know what's going on.

mz has died and gone to online gaming hell for its sins. muhahaha.

That's a common rumour for things like this... distributed denial-of-service attack.

well for those of you who can't get into the site.... here's the news.....



ManagerZone under attack

Yes it is as bad as it sounds. During most of the weekend that has passed somebody or some people have maliciously tried to bring ManagerZone down. They have clearly succeeded as we have been down on and off the whole weekend.

What they have done is a so called denial of service attack (DoS) where many computers on the net start sending packages our way and finally the traffic is so great that no other traffic gets through.

We have worked with everybody upstream (meaning our provider, their provider and more) to come up with solutions. There are not many out there unfortunately so we will to some extent have to live with a slow or poor service site until the traffic goes down and these people leave us alone.

In the meantime we are working with our partners in tracking this and we have now notified police in respective countries where the traffic is coming from and we hope the police will have a good chance in catching them. We will continue to work in trying to do our best in keeping managerzone.com up and running.

We are very open about this so that everybody understands the situation.

When I tried to log in at 3.15 am the front page of the site was all brazilian teams with names like brazil owns managerzone and all the news items on the left wee about that country too.

Guessing is something to do with that
