Final

Chelsea vs. Real Madrid

I've been predicting Chelsea to make it to the final for the past two years and I've been close both years and I have no idea why they can't reach the latter stages of the competition this year and actually reach the final.

I was really close to predicting the final exactly right last year (I had Chelsea vs. AC Milan :().

You might look at Real Madrid and say "right" well I think that they have been underachieving for too long now in this competition (for their standards that is) and I believe that Luxemburgo knows what he's doing, I just have a feeling that Real Madrid is gonna make it to the final again and I'm gonna stay by it.

Final

Inter vs. Real Madrid

Nothing would make me happier then to see these two meet up in the final with Inter winning it all. It would be one hell of a final. Reporters, anaylists, and debators would piss on themselves in excitement. "How will Figo do against his old side" "How will Solari/Cambiasso/Samuel" "Will Ronaldo wipe away his ex-teams dreams..." "Will Adriano score against his possible new team?" etc, etc, etc. Website would go crazy with info and thoughts. Hopefully both teams make it a reality.

Oh and Arsenal will make it to the final? :boohoo:

Our squad has improved, I don't see us getting to the final this year, but we should definately progress to the semi's atleast.

Final

Chelsea vs. AC Milan

The two best teams in the world IMO, didn't bought a new team, just some players that were missing here and there, so the group from last years is still there. They have great options to all positions, and some of the best players in the world, like Kaká, Sheva, Lampard, Terry, Pirlo etc... Also, they care about their defence more than other teams, and because of that they wouldn't go to an away game against Barça playing attacking football for example, or that would be hard to win. Two complete teams...

I say Milan to win. Hope it will be a good edition, and that Benfica can reach the second fase.

I want to see Milan vs Benfica at some stage..

Rui Costa!! (H)

The ideal situation is we whip them up like 5-0 in the first leg, then let Rui Costa play the second.. Just make sure....

......

Reserve Team
One thing I have learned from the past several CL finals/winners normally incorporates a team that no one expects... Porto, Liverpool and the list goes on.... The biggest tourney in Europe each season always brings a wonderful element of surprise... I don't want to start naming finals only because I'll first wait to see how the elimination round draw sets up... Some teams that can pull of the "Liverpool" are as followed (Obviously in my opinion)...

Inter (Although a much stronger side now, this team hasn't had much success in the past last winning this European trophy in 1965.)
Villarreal (Strong offensive lineup boosted their squad with the signing of Taccarnardi.)
Lyon (Always competitive in France winning the last 400 French titles, lol. Gaining Carew is a strong boost up front but losing Essien in the middle could be a further loss.)
PSV (Had some significant losses to their lineup, I.E. Van Bommel and Park. Still have a good Dback and sometimes not having an all star lineup but having a team with awesome chemistry is enough.)

Team Captain
It's always hard to predict the CL, some small teams will suprise, some big teams will fail early.

1. Juventus
2. Bayern
3. Rapid
4. Brugge

a fight between Juve and Bayern for the first spot and between the other two for the third one

1. Arsenal
2. Thun
3. Ajax
4. Sparta

THUN (H)!!!

1. Barcelona
2. Bremen
3. Udinese
4. Panathinaikos

Bremen should finish second if they sort out their defensive liabilities

1. Manchester United
2. Villareal
3. Benfica
4. Lille

Villareal could also win the group, I don't rate Man United high this year.

1. AC Milan
2. Schalke
3. PSV
4. Fenerbahce

a very balanced group

1. Real Madrid
2. Lyon
3. Olympiakos
4. Rosenborg

an easy task for Madrid and Lyon at least on paper

1. Chelsea
2. Betis
3. Liverpool
4. Anderlecht

Liverpool won't do it again

1. Inter Milan
2. FC Porto
3. Rangers
4. Artmedia
