Yeah actually theedor, you have to do your best to stop extremism/radicalism/terrorism that is against the teachings of Islam, regardless of other people's actions. That's the difference.

I understand your point there, but Hans doesn't live in the USA. I beleive he's actually in a country where Islam is the main religion. Everyone who openly criticizes Islamic extremism and/or aspects of Islam isn't necessarily a George Bush supporter or even pro-American, that's the same type of mentality that groups all Muslims as terrorists.

I do agree though that Muslim leaders and Islamic communities aren';t doing enough to help fight extremism. In every western country there were and continue to be protests against the Iraq war, however I don't see the same widespread outrage happening in Muslim countries protesting Terrorism. I think Islamic communities and leaders around the world need to do more to help authorities find and weed out terrorists. Especially in non-muslim countries, I know for a fact that all immigrant populations are very close-knit and muslim communities in places like England, America, etc have to know who is teaching extremism within their populations. Condemning attacks after they happen isn't enough.

I live in London and a lot of the stuff you hear is pure BS. We keep hearing about this so called hate preachers in our mosques.

i have never heard one cleric in a mosque talk about killing innocent people etc. it doesnt happen.

the % of muslims here in the UK who want to go out and kill people is less than 1%.

Tony Blair calls people who would support a Khilafah State extremists. Anyone who does not agree Israel has a right to exist is an extremist. anyone who calls for Sharia Law in the Muslim World is an extremist.

I don't think Tony Blair understands that at least 90% of muslims worldwide support these 3 actions.

Listen, peace can only be acheived in the world when the different parties start understanding each other, and abolishing the misconceptions they have of each other. Now let me get this right: You expect me, a muslim, who knows his religion pretty darn well, not to respond when someone yells 'Muslims are terrorists'... muslims are barbarians... that what they're taught...etc etc etc. And -let me get you right again- you actually believe that by doing that, more compassion, love and understanding will prevail in the world? 2nd, if you start carefully looking at the threads/posts... I don't start any one of them... and hence, it cannot be an invitation to anything. I barely try to correct any misconception that may mislead anyone to a misinterpretation, that would inevitabely lead to more hatred, intolerance, and backlash among the people, muslims and non-muslims.

You should be grateful, not only in this matter, but all similar matters of life. Or you prefer to live in your own head, with your own thoughts, in your own isolation, and the whole world has to suffer coz you simply don't want to learn, or be corrected.

Imagine if there were no exams at school, no wrong answers to be corrected... nothing... will anyone learn anything? The whole process of life is based on learning new correct info, and correcting the pre-existing false ones. This can only lead to more tolerance, compassion and as a net result, more progress in life, and raising the quality of life for everyone.
