ah man, i'm so pissed off. sittin playin the guitar by the computer and i put it down to get something out of the press beside the cpu. pushed back in the drawer and the highE string got caught and snapped :(

they should sell highE strings seperately in their own packs coz you go through so many!

Yeah I go through a lot of high e-strings as well. I was thinking of trying some Elixir strings instead of the usual D'Addario strings I use. I'm a bit hesitant though as Elixir strings are nearly 3 times as expensive and I go through so many high e-strings :D

I just want to share a magical guitar experience with you.

The other day I decided to have a look around the guitar shop. Actually because a mate of mine knew someone who was selling a (Mexican) Strat with big-ass Marshall amp and a spanish guitar for 500 Euro and I wanted to see what the Start plays like at the store. I'm always been more of an acoustic guitar guy than electric (although I love it rocking it out from time to time) so I decided to have a look at the acoustic guitars they had while I was there.
Then I saw the most beautiful thing ever, Taylor guitars. These babys are so damn beautiful it's unbelievable.
I decided to try one (Taylor 214) and I was completely blown away. The sound is so warm and full, it's like hearing yourself play through 20 Dolby Surround speakers set up around you. It's very smooth to play and extremely versatile...just mindblowingly good!

Too bad this thing costs 1200 Euro but I'm defenitely saving up because I NEED a Taylor 214!

i know exactly where you are coming from. i have similar feelings for a gibson les paul. i need one, i have to save for one :D

i might have to have a tester of a taylor 214 next time i'm near a guitar shop, you have me interested.

my next big purchase is an amp though, i only have a 15watt at the minute, so i wanna blow my house down with a much bigger one :rockman:

Dave Grohl is genius. He plays mean drums, awesome guitar and excellent vocals. Dragan did you pick up the latest (been out for a while) Foo Fighters album. Great, great album. Full of brilliant songs and it actually has 2 CD's, one of which is all acoustic and even acoustically Grohl pulls it off, impressive. Defenitely one of my favourite CD's of the year.

Yeah, I have it, but I can't say that I'm as impressed as you are :(

I wish he'd do some more drumming with QOTSA, that was jizz-tastic (C)

Yeah that's true, pity he only did drumming on one track and it's not the type of track to showcase his drumming skills either. Having said that Taylor Hawkins is a pretty good drummer too.

Is "Song for the Dead" the only song he did with QOTSA?
