Hair Straightening

Hair straightening, GHD style. Yay or nay?

I know for a fact that my hair would look far far better if it was straightened. But I'm not sure if I could ever bring myself to do it. It's a bit...gay.

nah, im thinking of growing my hair, simply cos ive had the same "back and sides" look since i was 10.

My hair would looks S H I T if it was long on its own, half way between a perm and a mullet . But im thinking of trying to grow it long just so i can try hair straighteners, they worked for my mate and his hair looks .

I'm not sure, its the "growing it long" stage that will annoy me.

Heh...mine's kind of long now, don't need to straighten it though. Will need a hair cut soon but I'm cheap...

My sidies seem to defy gravity and refuse to grow downwards, opting instead to grow horizontally and not down the side of my ears which makes my hair in general look crap.

I had my hair straightened once, about 2 years ago. It was pretty cool but not really worth the money in hindsight. My hair is kind of annoying though, it's impossible to get any sort of style going...except the out-of-bed look, so that's what I go for (ie. the real out-of-bed look, I'm talking here. Not some idiot spending 45mins trying to get the hair to look like that). I'm awesome!

I just got my hair cut, I have really bad curls, not the surfer curls, but the tight afro curls. I am arab, my hair is black South African. I was going to go for the straightening stuff from Wal-Mart, but half the time I am too lazy to even comb my hair, let alone sit there for an hour and have my scalp burned. I am kinda like Philler, I can't get any style going for my hair, even gel can't stand up to my locks.

I know what you're talking about Ahmed, my hair used to be like that. I just kept cutting it real short to avoid the pain of combing it out. But now, it's not like that anymore and it's growing into a 'fro. The girls REALLY like afros here, don't know why.

What the hell dude, just go for the 1/2 inch buzz all around. You can do it yourself. That's what I do, and I've never had any problems and I don't have to pay for a haircut.

Dude, you mean like the **** for fat black women?

I have the same hair as you, Ive tried that **** before it works pretty ****ty. It makes your hair straight but at the same time your hair is naturally trying to go the other way so it's impossible to style it in any way. Youll have a strand of straight hair, and in the middle it will be turning the other way around.

straighten you hair but use ghd's or they will **** up your hair, yes its a bit puffy but if you wanna look good for girls then i dont see how it can be gay, use plenty of conditioner and ur hair will be ok. GHDs actually can improve the condition of ur hair using some infra red heating thingy, but borrow some straighteners of someone you know and try it out

reght, ive been talking to my SUPER-gay mate Rich, and I've decided i need somewhat of a restyling.

Basically Rich (the king of all that is fashion) thinks while i dont look at all bad in terms of style/hair, its hardly anything spectacular. All my mates think i should grow my hair longer and hair straighten it, because they think it would suit me.

Now while this sounds stupid, realistically whats the best way of doing this? Should i just grow it, get some of my mates hair striaghtners and go "at" it? . Or when it gets longer, should i go to a hairdressers/salon and actually ask them **** loads of questions about it etc.

I dont know, what you guys think? Long/short? Or should i colour it darker (ive seen some people do this )



ideally, this is the kind of hair id like BUT i dont know if it would look good (he's a mate of mine). Like i say, this looks **** good, but it is it well hard to get and would it suit my head
