USB joystick, GAME. Won't work!!

I have two controllers one is Logitech Dual Action USB (works fine) and the other is only looked at a 'USB joystick' (link above) and FIFA 06 doesn't recognise it, it won't use the right stick for freestyle and I've tried doing all that editing stuff with it and it just aint doing it. I managed to change the buttons, but the right stick is dead. Even the buttons are all mashed. I just want the game to realise the right stick!!

Can someone check out the picture and get an idea of what it is I need to do? Ya know, the amount of buttons, etc.

I bought one of those Game branded controllers (maybe not the exact same model) for FIFA 2005 (we didn't have any dual analog controllers and couldn't find the recommended Logitech Dual Action in any local shops) and could not get it to work for toffee. All I can suggest is trying to find out (from any markings on the device itself or the box it came in) who the original manufacturer is and, on that basis, whether you can get the game to recognise it by adding its id string to the appropriate line in devdata.dat (or, if you are feeling masochistic, simply add it to each successive entry until you find one that works??). I had to change devdata.dat to get my wired Thrustmaster controller to work properly (since its id string was different from those listed) so I'm sure it is possible

No, sadly the file crashed my computer for a very odd reason, especially if Avok is using the same controller and file. Strange indeed!

Any suggestions chaps? I've had to reinstall the game because today my computer decided to hate FIFA and crash whenever it had the chance...talk about a corrupted file!! (and it's not the devdata one that caused it, something else)

hey nik this goes back all the way to like fifa 04 or something some guy helped me and i cahnged it a bit so its not fully my 'tutorial'.

Anyways this hopefully should work

"1. go to start > run
2. type in "regedit" and then enter
3. highlight "my computer" since you need to find from the very beginning
4. go to edit > find
5. type in "USB Dual Vibration Joystick" - note : no quotation marks needed, YOUR JOYSTICK NAME
6. remember to check all the three boxes ( machine code K, value V, and Data D)
7. press search and be patient
8. everytime you find "USB Dual Vibration Joystick" - modify it to "Logitech Dual Action" or "SideWinder Gamepad USB version 1.0" - be careful, do not use rename, use modify
9. there should be a few more to modify until the end and this process last for around 30 secs depending on how many registry keys you have.
The entry LocationInformation cannot be edited and it shows the true name of your gamepad."



IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH AXES
CHANGE REVERT AXIS:
1.Go to yor gamepad in the registration (regedit)
-> Search for it in the registry, For one value you find it will have the following:
2. go to the folder "axes".
There you got 4 more folders.Look in folder "2" and "5". Switch the "32" and "35" in these folders.

no one wants to do tht. i did it in 04 and it suck. i think they arent doing wat i said well cos i got over 45 peoples controller fixed on the main fifa site

i tried it and the right stick now works, but i tried changing it back to see if i could and it stays the same name, so I dunno what I'm doing wrong but it says 'logitech dual action USB' for both now haha, and i can't change it back.

ANyways yeah hahah! You now have two logitech dual actions! :P
So if u search in registry i guess you wouldnt know which is which! Hmm shouldve thought about that earlier :P
