Well yeah,i decided to give WE9:LE another chance. The game suffers from the same problems of PES5. The players are sooooooooo slow when turning (for crying out loud,even a 10 years old boy would turn quicker) and sometimes they.....lose the ball from their feet.Damn right,i was going forward with the ball (notice that i wasn't even running) and the player suddenly continued going forward without the ball.Furthermore it doesn't matter what dirrectional buttons you're pressing,as the players (yeah,YOUR CONTROLLED PLAYERS) go wherever THEY want. Here are two examples:

There was a lob and i saw where the ball would end so i pushed the directional buttons to go at where i thought the ball would go.I was pressing the directional buttons but my player was following the balls direction and wasn't going where i was "telling" him to.The other example is when i was deffending.I changed a player and i was pressing the directional buttons and the player wasn't even moving,he was starring the ball.HE DIDN'T MOVE AT ALL NO MATTER WHAT I WAS PRESSING (and this wasn't a keyboard problem as then i switched to another player he was moving and then i was trying to close the "hole" that was made by the stupid previous player who wasn't moving).Jesus Christ.

The problems don't end here,as most of the times when you're pressing the square button,the additional player doesn't do anything usefull and he is just running with you(unlike in PES3).He won't try to steal the ball,he won't do anything.Also when the players are backing off (when you were attacking) they won't give a damn about the CPU players who are simply next to them.What kind of AI is this?The opponent with the ball is next to you and you aren't trying to steal the ball??Jesus give a brake you "hardcore sim fans" (you seem like PES5 fanboys to me and nothing more).

Now we all know the answer to the above bugs. You aren't hardcore sim gamer,blah blah blah. With PES5 i have uploaded here gifs to show it's bugs and WE9:LE has the same problems.You have PC's,just install PES3 and play and then play WE9:LE and you will immetiadely notice that in PES3 you can CONTROL the player,in WE9:LE you simply can't. And the ability to control the players (plus the good teammate AI) is essential for the so called hardcore sim game. Enjoy it but this simply isn't the best Konami PES/WE,whether you like it or not as most of you were praising PES5 when it came out and now think that it sucks compared to WE9:LE (which will suck FOR YOU compared to WE10 whether it's truly good or not).Anyway back to PES3 for now :p.

Edit: And please,keep for yourselves the comments like <<Go play Fifa>> which will make you even dumber (i've seen them before in some quotes of my posts when i wasn't event mentioning Fifa,lol). So before calling me "a satan Fifa fanboy who wants to bash PES",read the f*cking post you're quoting :p

But peraphs your pc is not good enough to permit at your CPU to administrate all the game correctly..

The gameplay is fantastic with a good cpu and a good GPU, and i m sure that pes3 is orrible respect we9LE... Im sorry for you...

PS: if you are accustomed to PES3, you must learn more and more things for playng we9le, you must leave how you play with pes3 before learning how to play with PES5 and then to WE9lek...many many things...(with a good gamepad (ps2 style) and not with keyboard)

well , you have two ways out of this .

you can either use R2 + Direction when the ball is on air , the player will "obey" more what you order ( but still within computer path )

or you can use R2 and R1 + Direction and make it do really whatever you want !!

he was probably standing still , to my experience , it is based on stats. the best defenderes are really the ones with better stats :) its just not agility and speed stats that matter ! you are controling the player "through" its own stats. ( which i think is really really clever and awesome ).

if you really dont like this , use R1 + R2 ( super cancel )

i really dont see this happening. in fact , my own experience is that the players do too much pressure !!! if i press in X or [] for too long and carelessly , if usually ends up in a foul.
now the rest of the paragraph i simply dont understand ... are you complaining that your cpu players dont go after the ball or that they dont keep their marking of their respective players ? either way , this can be changed ( see strategy , zone press ( i think its this one ) and see markup still ( zone , covering , man ))

also , if you have the defensive arrows to "low" , they will almost not defende


by the way ... you should see ronaldo defending :) or some other real life defensive players ... :) really , even in this world cup ( 2006 germany ). sometimes they make soo stupid screwups !

Indeed the "this is an awasome game compared to pes5" is false. Same game, bit faster. It is just that people like whatever new comes their way. And that's why konami releases 200 versions of the game, because people are not rational............

Same game, but better optimized (and "awesome" respect pes5 is the right word for people who know the series and know how play...) sorry but im rational, peraphs you are not expert about konami soccer and his improvements...or perpaphs your pc CPU/GPU are not enough to manage correctly the game and show you differences between pes5/we9le

Try fraps and see if it sign 60 fps during a match.. (if it sign less than 60, you are plaing with a konami trick (limiter of features and of cpu's management) used for playng also in pc not suitable for best performance of the game...(however you could have also 60fps but your cpu/gpu usage could be at his limit (you are plaing with a ps2 porting game) and you couldn't plaing the game with a good management by your hardware)

Actually, I&#8217;m not going to be expert as konami and suppose even don&#8217;t look like mentioned one. All I&#8217;ve - just experience and IMO. As for optimized, well for CPU cheating &#8211; yes. I was impressed when CPU player intercepted my ball - slipped 1 meter on the one leg. Same story with PES5 and a little bit exaggerated to we9:le.
There is one difference - additional 3 balls.

Does this game add european cup matches to the league mode?
I was missing that in PES5 although i was happy that Konami added national cup matches.

Nope, cause it&#8217;s very, very hard and difficult. Remember, how much time Konami spent to implement national cup? I think it&#8217;s even impossible for konami programmers &#8211; damned algorithm request more skilful staff and look for still empty stadiums. Du u think it&#8217; easy to fill it up?
But u may take account of new big improvement &#8211; faster gameplay!

Are you serious or just ironic?

I'm more interested in a slower gameplay that's why i am using
Sepakbola10's Re_rate optionfile. I think Konami needs a new engine. I was already surprised that they still used the same engine for PES5 but it seems even PES6 is still the same.

I hope PES7 will be revolutionary and will contain full realistic seasons with national league, national cup and european cup matches and even better gameplay.

Of course ironic :)
In spite on all trifle bugs the game is the best and there is no any concurrents. Just wonder why not to make more interesting national leagues, real algorithm of LC and so on.
Play ML after 5 years is getting boring for me.

Team Names & Rosters

I'm a newbie not many hours on PES. However I've downloaded WE9 EVo and think it's far better than PES5. I did not manage to install all of the K patch. I did not do the PFP exe part so do not have Lodmixer & Kitserver. However the game plays great and I'm more interested in the gameplay.
However all team & player names still in Korean which makes it difficult for substitues etc.
Which part of the patch converts all to English? Is there a separate patch I can apply just to convert the names? I don't want to mess too much as it took me a long time to get the game to run.
Can anyone help please. I though I'd changed Folder 1 correctly and thought therefore English conversion would be complete.

I've downloaded the WC patch on PES5... and so, had to leave WE9:LE for a while... the difference was noted immediately. Poor player control, sluggish passing, and a totally miserable experience all together.

Then switched back to WE9:LE, and it was a totally different experience. The changes are very minor, but the impact is huge.

It's like a sneak peak into PES6.... which will be an extremely fluid game (provided the fix WE10's weak points)
