Ok, here it is:

Guys, I don't want to start explaining how good this new game play is or
launch some type of an "Advertisement Campaign" with videos or posters!! (loool)...
Believe me that after trying it for 3 or 4 games, YOU ARE GOING TO GET
ADDICTED TO IT! Just give it little time, 4 matchs at least. :)

Try playing it in slow mode, today at least, and tell me what do you think.

Fixed stuff:

1. Gravity is so realistic, almost like PES. (You may feel that it is slow, but get
used to it and you'll really feel the difference, I tried imitating real ball
bounces in everyway I could!

2. Don't get so excited: There is no way on earth (until this moment) that I or
anyone else but EA can change the CPU to let it shoot more outside the box.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I'll keep working on it.

3. Headers are much harder to commit. Many of my friends found this to be
positive; in the original FIFA game play headers where much easier and lame.

4. Passing and shooting speeds match real life physics in 90% of the times.

5. Controlling the ball is much harder, as well as sprinting is tougher.

READ THIS:

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GAME PLAY PATCH WAS
MADE FOR GAMERS WHO PLAY IN "SLOW" MODE.
ANY BAD EXPERIENCE IN FASTER MODES IS NOT
GOING TO BE TAKEN INTO REAL CONSIDERATION. IF
YOU THINK THAT THIS PATCH WORKS FINE WITH
ANY FASTER MODES THEN SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS
WITHOUT COMPLAINING ABOUT ANYTHING PLEASE!
SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE
:)

Have fun!

Note: Please add positive comments, even if you think that this patch is bad,
try to mention what was bad in it; create a healthy discussion. :)

Pancho, welcome to soccergaming. :)

Can you please give me some feedback; explain what you liked and disliked.

Note: No need to compare this game play to NK's. each game play has a different style and targets. :)

I must say, it didnt take me 3 or 4 games, i loved this patch right away. Seems totally bug free and I really think you got the ball physics spot on. Quite tough even on semi-pro.. i'll definately be keeping this one. Any chance you'll make a CEP compatible version for Fifa06?

Thank you pfk505 for the comment. :D

Sorry, but I'm not playing FIFA 06 anymore, check out NK's game play for FIFA 06. :)

Last update was better

Sorry Mr. Big...

I am a devoted fan of your gameplay updates...especially for FIFA World Cup...but your last update was not your best. The only thing I really noticed as a difference between this update and your last was that the ball physics were different...a little more floaty and bouncy. I played both on professional and semi-pro level and dominated both games. I lost playing as Germany to Norway on professional level 1-0. I took 16 shots at goal with 10 on goal. Norway was 1 and 1. I dropped back down to semi-pro and matched the USA with St. Vincent/The Grenadines...23 shots at goal with 16 on...St. V/G 2 shots - 1 on. 0-0 draw.

It seems the keepers of the CPU are unbeatable. I did notice the CPU did a good job of holding on to the ball at professional level...maybe a slight improvement there. And it looks like the ball physics will allow for some shots to go in from far out (25-40 yards)...but other than that...there wasn't that big a difference.

I love your previous effort...I use it exclusively on my game now. I get great games at both the professional and semi-pro level. A couple of things need to be changed...but they are things that have been a problem for both you and Nick and I don't know if they can be improved upon. The CPU offense needs to take more chances of different kinds on goal. Your previous update offense does a good job of working the ball...but they always seem to try and force the ball into the box when they don't have to and wind up scoring on headers from crosses from the wings only. I would also like to see good shooters have the ability to crack in those withering strikes we saw so much of in the World Cup. The key to those shots was that the shooters had space to shoot...and I don't know if that can be incorporated in the game. Players like Gerrard and Viera...and other midfielders are pretty ineffective when the only way they can score is pick up the odd header in the box...or loose ball off a scramble from a corner.

So...keep up the good work Biggy. Like I said...I stand by your work and love being able to evaluate anyone's gameplay updates. I hope these words help you as you work to make this game...which in my opinion might be the best FIFA I've played...even better.

Feel free to pick my brain anytime. There ain't much there...Nicky will tell you.

Cheers,
mutiger

mutiger, thank you for this fine feed back. :)

My previous version was better from the difficulty level side, and the new one is better from the speed side. In response to this, I'll start working on a new version that will have all of the requested things, better goal keepers & CPU style, better ball speed and better shooting for key players.

I'll try balancing out those aspects as much as possible.

As for the game play and scoring chances I have shockingly found out that: changing the camera also changes the experience of scoring a goal!!!!! Which is a very huge issue for EA to take into consideration! Try changing the camera to a different angle and see how easy or hard it will get to score a goal or even commit a simple shoot!

Anyways, I'll start working on the new patch after tomorrow, so keep the feed backs rolling. :)

I have one problem with this.

When I pass back to goalkeeper, sometimes he (the gk) is inside the goal and defender makes an own goal. Could you fix it to next version.

Also I would liketo have better shots and CPU trying to shott from a distance.

But very good job. My CPU gk is not unbeatable. :)

I'll fix the GK problem. :)

The shooting problem is still unfixable until this moment, not even one method has worked until now, so forget about it only until I find a solution for it. (Thanks to EA)

I understand what you mean [FIN]Hande89, I'm working on everything you guys have mentioned... I'll keep finding solutions for these bugs. expect an update tomorrow or after. :)

v1.1

Ok guys,

Here is v1.1. I've done some little tweaks and I've come up with these changes:

1. Shots are faster.
2. Passing is slower.
3. CPU is harder.
4. Ball physics are little bit fixed since v1.0
5. Now you can play on other speeds, but still the "Slow" mode is the best.

I'll be waitin for the feed back. :)

I remember there was v1.2 so why is this version called 1.1? Volleys are better now, thanks for that! Of course the speed of volley depends on its power.

Oh, I re-done everything from the start that explains the "v1.1". :)

The volleys now are much better than before, and I tried fixing them as much as possible as requested by many. :)

good gpu, really... my question: can You slow down the gameplay even more? I like it the most realistic possible !!

THANK YOU !!! :jap:

Thank you guys for the slim feed backs... :)

dino, I would love to make the game even much slower, because as you said it can become even more realistic and life-full, at this stage it is hard to make it slower, in other words, I can make the ball move slower with real gravity but the players are always going to move fast. I'll see what I can do.

Anyways, I'm working now on a little more improvements for gravity and ball bounces and "goal keepers". Still, I can't find a way to make the CPU shoot more and outside the goalie box!!! I'm really annoyed by this dumb move by EA!

Note: I'm trying to make the goal keepers smart but not "supermans", so that when you are 2 meters far from them and shoot with full power the goalie stands with no movement at all (Shocked state); just like in real life.

goood

Dear Biggy,

I played some games yesterday.. Peru - Italy 4-2.. I guess it's not your patch that can make the CPU players more intelligent. But I must say that Your patch works great already. I played PES for Years now and must say that Your patch made FIFA 2006 a real good game.. it's more realistic than PES robots moving on the field. I mean, I'm a huge PES fan too, but I hate this Arcade-style running around on the field of the players.. it's not that realistic.. if FIFA was some bit slower it would be a serious alternative to PES, thanx to Your patch !

Thank You and keep up the good work !!

OK, here is a brief of some of the improvements I'm working on, I need little more time just to test and finish everything.

- Goal keepers give you more goal space to shoot on, in other words they don't always stand in the middle of a goal, they move right and sometimes left, leaving an open space on the sides for some wonderful and super realistic goals. nothing is unrealistic about what I'm doing to them, it all relates to real matches, don't worry. The game will have faster shots on goal and slower game pace; gravity adjustments and air modifications.

I'll update you with the time I'll be done. :)
