omg is this guy blind or what??
Sure he brought everyone in but thanks to him important players left the club but nothing about that?! :o
Lashing out on the fans is not a smart idea, I feel this is the beginning of the end for him and I give him one more season at OT.(if he's lucky)

just read that some guy of corithians or MSI,,i think MSI,,his name starts with a Z,,well anyway dosent matter.this guy has met with SAF and told him in january u put in a bid of 18m and he is yours,,and united will have first preference to him.I rang my uncle who lives in manchester and he has heard the same thing over there,,so maybe there is some truth to this???If SAF dosent win anything this year or/and someteam finished abouve united by a good margin i think he will leave

"Veron has different stories" :| It seems he 'wants' to believe Veron. Heinze has been nothing but successful, but yet he is listening to what Veron said? Exactly what has happened to Veron? Since he has gone back to Italy, he hasn't exactly set the world alight. But yet he's taking advice off that clown?

Right. :| It doesn't really make sense to me, it most probably is media bullsh*t....again.
Veron is bitter we offloaded him to Chelsea, and Mascherano is bitter that we didn't buy into his mafia controlled self.

If its true that Tevez and Mascherano has a release clause in their contract for as low as 18millpounds then I would be right in labelling them as 'passengers' in the team. This is a shame and I bet the whole West Ham community will learn by then about this farce. That article on redcafe.net is really a good read.Shares the same points as I do about these two clowns.

we might not have to play benfica, as they cud get banned. pple who expect signings in january, ur dreaming. fergie will again pop-up with the same line around that time:
in his scottish accent:
"the team has so much quality, it doesn't need improvement. i don't want mascherano, because my scout said he was not good enough for us. i rather have duscher or makoun.if neither come i still will be happy. thanks for coming today."

united are still after hargreaves...but i doubt BM would sell him in january...unless owen acts like a b!tch for the rest of the year...then we'll see... :) or...if the players start gettin injured again or the forwards stopped scoring...then united might go for someone then...

It's very difficult to get a big-name signing from another European team in January, so I wouldn't be too optimistic about that. This isn't PES!

I mean, if Atletico is doing well in La Liga, with Torres as top scorer, do you think they'll sell their captain halfway through the season?

Same with Bayern, if Hargreaves really is a key member of their team and is getting first team football finally after so many years, I'm sure his desire to move will quiet down somewhat.

All hail Giggsy! See what Dunga has to say about the Welsh wizard.

Brazil's Dunga dazzled by Giggs

Brazil coach Dunga has given Ryan Giggs the ultimate praise by saying the Welsh winger would grace the Brazilian shirt.

Giggs showed his class in a 45-minute cameo in Tuesday's 2-0 friendly defeat to Brazil at White Hart Lane.

And Dunga said: "Any manager in the world would like a player like Giggs in their side, and I am no different.

"But frankly I wouldn't know where to play him, we have so many good players. If he was Brazilian, it would give me far too many problems."

Giggs created Wales' best scoring opportunity on Tuesday with a sublime back-heel pass which sent Rob Earnshaw through on goal.

Earnshaw failed to beat the on-rushing goalkeeper, as Wales' wastefulness in front of goal continued from Saturday's Euro 2008 defeat to the Czech Republic.

But Giggs said Wales can take heart from their performance against the Brazilians after holding out for an hour before conceding two goals.

Giggs told BBC Wales Sport: "We got a lot of positives out of the game.

"It was a chance for us to go out and enjoy ourselves and express ourselves against the best players in the world.

"We acquitted ourselves well for an hour. The pressure was off so we tired to relax and enjoy ourselves.

"The young players coped well with it and there were signs there that they can go on and become very good players for Wales.

"An experience like this can this can only help them and stand them in good stead."

Dunga said he was also impressed by Wales' performance, which forced him to a change their tactics in the second half.

"Wales were very good - very close together and quick on the counter-attack," said Dunga.

"We had to be patient and calm, and make sure that we could change the ball from one side to the other to make room.

"In the first half we persisted in the middle and gave them the chance to counter-attack. He added: "We did well on Sunday (against Argentina), and after a not so good first half against Wales we improved considerably in the second period. "We have improved all the way through these two games."

thats a very unfair comparison... just comparing one season of football doesnt make carrick better than roy.

he still has to justify his 18m price tag if u ask me.

true true...nobody said he was better that roy...its just stats anyways...i just thought it was an interesting read...well, i just hope that carrick plays well and gets better with united!

Micheal Carrick will be massive for us.We couldnt have Andrea Pirlo but Carrick is the closest in terms of style and position wise with the Italian genius.

RockShow

those stats dont say to me that one player is better than the other, because they are both very different types of player. what they do tell me is that we have lost a quality midfielderr in roy, but we have also bought a quality midfielder.

and i personally cant wait to see man utd in action for the first time this year against spurs on saturday. i also think we are going to have a very good year on the pitch.

D'ya mean you're going, or watching on TV?

If so then you've already missed United's first three games of the season.
As for the Carrick debate, I think that he will relish the opportunity to feed balls to the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney and Saha. His role will be to sit in the midfield and utilise his great range of passing to launch counter attacks and with the overall pace of United's movement - I'm sure Carrick can't wait. Also I think he already knows the people he's playing with - The touch of class he showed against Charlton (Passing up the golden opportunity to score his first ever United goal in favour of passing to Ole, who everyone wanted to score) showed me quite a bit about him.

Scholesy and Rooney still out, haven't heard fitness reports about Louis yet so I'm presuming no news is good news. I reckon Giggsy and Michael in the centre, with Ronny and Ji on the wings. Wes and Rio in defence with Silvestre on the left and Nev on the right (Gabby is still a couple of weeks away)

Mido should be fit for Spurs, but Malbranque and Berbatov are both expected to miss the game - Expect Keane and Defoe to line up for the Lillywhites then.

So here is my predicted United team for Saturday;

GK: Edwin
RB: Gaz (C
CB: Rio
CB: Wes
LB: Silvestre
LW: Park
MF: Carrick
AM: Scholesy
RW: Ronny
ST: Ole
ST: Louis

The options I can see are to either employ Giggsy or Ronny (or Scholsey) as second strikers - and sit either Sheasy or Fletcher in the Midfield or wing (in Ronny's case - Fletcher will be deployed on the wing)

Alan Smith might make the bench too :)

Good team selection, one problem though we have no scholes which you seemed to have mentioned already.. :p

I'd rather have fletcher in the middle with Carrick due to his 'engine'. Giggs would be better deployed on the wing where he has been showing his class the past few games.

yeah, i worded that poorly, i will be watching MY first UTD game of the season, and its on the tele. its a real pain, can only watch EPL games on fox soccer channel now on my cable in the US, no more pay per view. so the spurs game is the first one i will be able to watch this season.
