How's over? They will continue i guess!!
all that GV can get now is an indemnization from the FPF (or some other entity, not sure), the competition for Portuguese teams will now be restored to normality.

No they won't, Dutch media report that Gil Vicente will not back down and still are planning to go to court, the FPF is also going to court to stop them :p
According to the media it doesn't look good for Porto, Benfica and Sporting if they continue with the courtcase regarding their CL places..
Not saying that we are going to the CL cause I know we won't, if those teams are not allowed to play they will play with three teams in that group and Ajax is focusing on the Uefa Cup right now but it's sure is a nice soapopera to follow :funny: :rofl:

You don't decide for me if there is nothing to follow, I decide that myself thankyouverymuch. Who cares what happens in Portugal, it's hilarious and ridiculous anyway. Everything that happened in Italy with the expulsion of Juve and now this in Portugal. It's time to play some football and stop the crap with Courtrooms and so called expulsions :nape: :boohoo:

you're so touchy dude, Tiago only meant that there's nothing else for ANYONE to follow since it's already decided that Porto, Benfica, etc. are allowed to participate in European competitions, and our inner competitions will be continued normally which is all that FIFA wants!

and if you don't care about what happens in Portugal and in this case particularly, then why did you and Zlatan come to this thread all excited about the possibility of Ajax getting one of the CL spots?
sorry for putting an end to your daily wanking fueled by the wish that Portuguese teams would f'ck off of European competitions, but sooner or later you had to get back and face your club's current sorry reality.

Well...just a little then :amika: but I'm not counting on anything and next week we play against IK Start from Norway in the Uefa Cup, we are getting ready for that one. And to be honest I think we have a better chance there then in the CL. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Clubs sorry reality, like your team is in hot shape right now :boohoo:
I dare to say that Ajax has a stronger team this season then FC Porto even if you are playing in the CL  much more quality players..
A few seasons ago Porto was a force to reckon with but then Co Adriaanse came to blow it all away. Selling quality players like Benni OMG what was he thinking cause that's a class striker (Y) (ex Ajax btw :jambo: )

first of all, I said CURRENT sorry reality given the failure to qualify to the CL. Ajax is a top team in my book nevertheless.

about Ajax having a better team than Porto, that would have to be decided on the field, names don't make a team better than the other.
just remember about the players on the team that conquered the UEFA and CL a few years ago, no one outside Portugal knew who the f'ck Deco was for instance.

Adriaanse came to blow it all away you say...you obviously know sh'tall about what happened at Porto in the period between Mourinho's departure and Co's arrival.
to keep it simple, I can tell you that in the season after Mourinho left, we had 3 different coaches...the team was a mess, and Benfica inclusively won the League that year.
Co arrived, put us playing well enough to conquer both the Portuguese League and Cup. the CL was a major disappointment yes, but it was a matter of timing too, the season had barely started and a 3-man defensive system is not something you implant on a team from a day to another.
I bet that if Co had the opportunity to play the competition a couple of monthes later, we would at least beat f'cking Artmedia...

about Benni, you're once again talking out of your ass.
if we kept him with us one more year, then any team could have him for free at the end of the season.
Benni always said he wanted to play in the EPL, and then Blackburn came in with some good money and the board decided to let him go.
I should add that Co actually wanted him to stay in the squad.

Well you know more about Porto then I do of course but personally I like Benni as a striker. Co is one of our best coaches so I'm still a bit puzzled why he left your club, something with the chairman and the board he said on Dutch tv here. At least Porto was champion with him but I think he could've done so much better if he was given the chance but when Co leaves it's for a reason cause we know him here and he wouldn't leave a club just like that..
But maybe I'm talking out of my ass again

My main concern is my team right now and the current situation is not that bad I have to say, we won both games in the league up to now and we have a young strong team and one of the best squads in years but yes the Kopenhagengame was a killer :( sportive and financially but I'm confident in beating IK Start, the team is subtop and never played in Europe. We have much better quality players and more experience and we have a score to settle.
We'll be back I'm sure of that and then we play against Porto hopefully to decide which team is stronger. You lost against Bratislava and we against Kopenhagen well...life sucks sometimes (:/)
In the meantime I wish you all the best for the new season of course.

just want to mention something, Co's departure was very strange and surprising for the Porto fans too....some loved the decision, some didn't....I must say I didn't.
about the reasons, ok maybe the relationship between the board and him became fragile because of the VoH incident (who'd guess such a sh't player would be in the centre of it) but there was something with his relationship about the players too, which was not good apparentely.
he must have felt that he didn't belong here and left....case closed for me either way.

having said that, I appreciate your best wishes for Porto and endorse Ajax the same best wishes for the upcoming season :jap:

Of course you cared, it could of put your team in the CL. What I meant is exactly what it's written. There is nothing for you or whoever else to follow about this. Unless, like I said you actually care to know if Gil Vicente will receive some money. But I don't even care about them, why would anyone who's not portuguese care, I mean you didn't even know there was a club named Gil Vicente before this..

It's like following some stupid soap. You don't care but once you're in it you want to see how it ends.

BTW there's still a small chance we can get in. But no Ajax-fan expects it to happen though, before you start flaming us again.

Oh and I did know Gil Vicente because I played with Braga on FM.
