I think Petit spat on the ref. The image isn't clear but I saw some goo leaving his mouth directed to the ref. Couldn't see it land though.

If that was the case and the ref writes it in his report he might be in line for a big suspension, 5 games or more.

Luisão sucked big time. Not only in the second, he should be marking him but was standing still. In the first as well, if you notice instead of blocking the ball by placing himself in front of the shot, he tried to get out of the way so that the ball wouldn't hit him.

But it wasn't only him. The players didn't seem like giving a sh*t about it.

If he spat it isn't 3 games. It is 3 months.

Now this is a retarded attitude. Sore losing at its highest level. Grow up and stop whining, instead of being sick of our football because of the refs you should wonder what your team did to win the freakin match. That's what fecking counts in the end.


Unlike you I am pleased with the portuguese football, I just hate portuguese fans that justifie there losses by blaming refs and the so called Sistema (which is always against them, they are no part of it, but every rival team is).

player's attitude changed when they saw the ref was clearly against them, of course they haven't done a thing to win the match and boavista was a clear winner yesterday, But the ref took every single chance he could to get Benfica players carded, while choosing nicely which Boavista player to book.

anyway, i'd just like to say: OOOOOH LOOOOOOOOOOORD !!!! HAHA!

We OWNED Benfica, man!!! Unreal!

Grzelak was a BEAST today, and Linz was a killer!

and of course... KAZ! PURE CLASS!

this victory has a special flavour because anyone who've been to Bessa in a Boavista-Benfica, knows that the stadium is full of benfiquistas, even in the Boavista area. So it was a really sweet win.

About the cards, I don't really have much to say, I only saw it live, haven't got any highlights yet.

And what the hell did Petit do? I was still celebrating Manu's red card :P

The ref was against Benfica? Didn't notice it really. What I noticed was a shameful attitude from the "lampioes" which gave them 3 red cards...

Wth...are you saying the fault you loss 3-0 is from the ref? That sounds like you didn't watch the game. What are you saying next? That R.Silva should have been sent off and that Nuno Gomes foul isn't for sent off?

We were totally owned, nothing more to say, congrats to Boavista that looked amazing!

BTW, Anderson, once again proves what i say, Ricardo Rocha or even Alcides are better than him, it wasn't Luisão's fault, Anderson should be the one marking Boavista's striker... in the first goal he just jumped and let the ball pass, in the second he didn't even jumped, Luisão is the CB "a sobrar"...

And although R Silva should've been sent off, our players attitude was greatly pathetic, they made the humilliation even bigger with all those childish tackles, and although Manu didn't touch him, it was a stupid (almost) tackle, if the guy didn't jumped he would be completely "varrido",

what worries me the most is the fact we didn't even created a ******* chance.

Now let's hope it was only a game, the problem is that i'm thinking this since the loss against Sporting and AEK, "maybe it was only a game"

that's pretty much what I was gonna say...

FS is destroying this team, we signed quality players Kikin and Rui Costa and were playing even worse than we did with Koeman in charge.. terrible discipline too, especially from Petit. I actually hope he gets suspended, I'm sick of him on the NT too (never been a fan of that prick). Wish we had M. Fernandes back I'm not even going to mention the ref, Manu didn't deserve to be sent off but we had already f*cked ourselves. Looks like Fernando Santos removed shooting-at-net from the game plan, and let me guess his answer to this 3-0 loss is going to be the same as when we lost to Sporting, AEK.. "we have to reflect, blah, blah"

Congrats to Boavista though, looks like a really solid team. I didn't think they deserved to lose against Sporting last week and I think we might have another contender for a CL spot here. Too bad we didn't see more of Zairi, looks like an exiting player.

I didn't see the whole match, but it turned out that I didn't need to anyway. We looked flat and inept out there yesterday, and I don't think it was because of the Caso Mateus-imposed layoff in between our Champions League qualifier and our match against Boavista. Fernando Santos was clearly a bad hire, and he needs to go with immediate effect.

he's saying the game MIGHT have changed if Ricardo Silva was sent off earlier because it would be 1 - 0, 30 min to go, against 10 men, but that's a big if.

do you need to be a genious to understand that? I don't think so...

Boavista totally owned us. what is happening with some players like Nélson or Anderson? even Luisão and Léo were terrible. why the team always seems totally wrecked physically and we are in the beginning of the season? what is happening in that lockeroom? the players clearly are without any morale or confidence.

a mention to Boavista. great game specially the 2 polish guys and Linz. thank god Austria sold him.
