Tricks, moves, button combinations FIFA 07...

So is it like you can only perform tricks or special moves with an opponent nearby?! I tried to do tricks in the free training but couldn´t manage to do any - although the right stick must work properly because I can do all kind of moves with the goalie on the line.

I am using a Logitech Rumblepad 2.

By the way with what kind of controller setting are most of you playing, classic or new?!

Stepping over The Ball Trick Plese Help

I have a logitech dual action game pad in fifa 06 and fifa 2006 world cup, while sprinting with the ball, you could of held down the L7 button which allowed you to step over the ball and beat a player with ease.
In Fifa 07 that move is not working does anyone know what buttons you have to use to get that move now

If u hold the pass button longer, player will not pass the ball to the nearest player, but the player that is further if there is any in that direction. Just like in PES, which is good.

It is same for lob through pass. Try it when u are at your side or at the half and pick direcion and hold L1 + triangle. It will make it longer and if possible - to further player.

edit::: Make pass to a player and hold R2 and L2 button before receiving the pass. Player will let the ball pass beside him and then u can run for it.

U can do a fake shot or fake pass: hold shoot button and then press pass while holding the shot button. Hold long pass button and at the same time press the pass button.

(remember that if u already know some tricks, it doesnt mean that everyone knows it)

In fifa 2006 when i combinated ED+Q , i had superb defence,but in fifa 07 that doesn't work , wich button combinations (keyboard) do u use , for great defence...?

Are you playing with the original button configuration?
I changed my bottons, so that I will run with R1 instead of R2. So I swapped L1 for L2 as well.

And I am shooting in the same format as in PES, I don't like two games to have different buttons so I tried to make them as similar as possible.

Ok i don't think anyone has posted this here but when you take a free kick if you call in another player and then press pass while holding shoot, the first players runs over the ball/dummys it and the second player takes the shot.

can someone tell me how you can perform backheels or other clever flicks for passing the ball in opposite directions.


My player constantly has to turn around before laying of a crappy pass. Also is it possible to do that juggling thing that beckham did in that skills trailer for the game?

could you guys give me some of the tricks with the right analog stick to get by the opponent...I am having a hell of a time getting by defenders !!!

Why couldnt they have just left that like FIFA 06 ??

Can anyone help me? I have problems pulling off tricks with my PS2. Can anyone teach me the tricks I can pull off and teach me how to do it? Please help me, desperate for some good tricks in my PS2 for FIFA 07 but all this thread talks about is the PC version.

It has to be perfect timing, try holding one of the buttons longer and not press them too fast. Use messi or ronaldinho.

Tricks 4 ps2, As u run toward a defender about 2-3-4 meters a way, move the trick stick up and down or toward the goal and back toward ur goal on an angle

try moving it on these / \ -> <- angles.
