360 demo now avalible

I love this game just a pitty there's no replay on this demo as this was a cracker of a goal.

Juninho *sp crossed in a wicked ball only to be headed clear by rio, however the ball was about to touch the ground when fred nailed a perfect scortcher of a volley chipped over vander saar from 20 or so yards, it was sheer brilliant.

is there any way to get the game on disc? because i dont have a hard drive for my 360. and i dont plan on getting one in the near future.

Graphics are nice and all that, good enough for me anyway, but the first thing I noticed was the lack of response to what I did with the controller, it's not as fast and accurate as in PES, it felt sluggish, and it felt as if when you start an animation, it, or parts of it, has to be played through before you can do something else, so it's like this; you feel in control, then you do something, and your player takes over that control, you wait, you have control again...

not in the 360 version, at least I havent had that issue at all..

That aint a trick man. Its just a part of the animation. I bet you can't tell me how you did it.

After playing the demo countless times over the weekend, I have to say I'm impressed with the flow of the game and the ball physics - which is what the point of releasing the demo was for...

Since it came out at the start of October I'm guessing this build of the game is at least a month old as it usually takes 2 weeks to certify a game for release on XBL Marketplace (as was the case with NHL 07) - this means that overall, EA has had 2 months to fix up the game since the creation of the demo, and before the final build goes gold.

Things I'm hoping are optimized before the final release:

1. Graphics - I'm hoping they touch up the textures and improve the colors (looks a little muddy sometimes)
2. Nets- The physics are horrid! (the ball can get stuck on the netting and take more than a few seconds to come down from the top of the net)
3. Goalkeepers - They are intelligent for the most part, but some of their dives are awkward
4. Hopefull some skill moves will be present

Taken as a whole it is rather an impressive showing!

Guys, NK, I don't know why I have a big feeling that EA is ripping us off with their nice talk!! For some reason i feel that the next-gen engine is and almost feels exactly like the current-gen engine in FIFA 07!

Call me crazy, but what I have seen until now shows nothing but improved graphics and more complicated data system, nothing more (These only effect the career mode, but not a quick single matches). I mean every single thing they were talking about in next-gen is already available in current-gen!!! My God

Leaning players, free ball, curvy balls, ball gravity is all available and looks and feels the same in FIFA 07 current-gen. Even the elastic ball they were talking about is still present in FIFA 07 next-gen!

Am I missing something or what? I'm crazy about the game but after this demo, I'm soooo frustrated!!!! Like seriously shocked!

Looks the same! New engine obviously not!

... the only similarity in those two different sequences is the fact that Ronaldinho is in both of them.

If you'd open your eyes and examine the video you'd notice that player leaning is NOT in current-gen, the ball physics in current-gen are no where near as natural as the 360 one and the player animation is far superior in the next-gen version, too.

And for those wondering why EA have 'taken out' some of the better parts of the current gen version ... err, you do realise this game was built from scratch, right? There was nothing there to take away in the first place.

So anyway, I have been playing this demo nearly all weekend now, and at times my thoughts have varied from 'OMFG AMAZING!' to 'Heh, this needs a little work' ... but my final thoughts are that is game is the greatest football game I have ever played, and that's coming from a PES fan.

I love how unpredictable the ball is now and how frustrated I get when I lose the ball because tactically, over the years, previous FIFAs never emphasized like this one does the meaning of 'building up.' I've been playing it the whole weekend and to tell you the truth I love the ball physics. My brother came walking in and he goes 'Wow they have all the various spins depending on how the ball is kicked? It's just amazing what they can do now, look at that!' Oh, and shots are extremely fun in that hearing that hard pounding sound everytime Rooney has his shot saved by a keeper like Valdes adds a replay value for me. Loving it , only wished Arsenal would have been the team from the EPL.

You're right, they are the same. In both videos the player is using his feet, not his hands to control the ball, and it appears to be the same coloured kit in both videos as well. SHOCK!

Seriously, anyone who has played the current gen version and then the next gen version will know it is a completely different engine. Great engine or not... they are clearly different.

This game certainly has enough to keep you coming back for more. I was playing on World Class as Barcelona and went 1-0 down. Well, up stepped Ronaldinho. First I scored a 25 yard free kick and then late in the half I broke free with Messi and hung a cross up for the unmarked Ronaldinho. Bang, 2-1. Breakaway goals like this don't happen often on past Fifa games. Nothing about this felt scripted, as normally my volleys go high and wide!

Anyway, I was excited. I grabbed my Sony Digi Cam and filmed the replay. Its not the best quality as only a handheld, so does not do the HD graphics any justice. But, watch the technique. I uploaded the videos to youtube; hope it works, this is my first attempt at this.

Having played both the PS2 version and the 360 demo, I can say they're different with only some similarities.

What was the difficulty setting on?

Man i like this game a lot. I've been highly critical of fifa over the years and been an avid fan of pes. However i was interested to hear they redeveloped this game and its bloody nice. No scripting whatsoever. Its nice they removed the trick stick too, it was kak and scripted, its much better using natural dribbling. I had a wonderful run with Ronaldhino, skipped past a challenge at speed down the wing then used the shoulder button for close control with a slalom dribble in the box and got brought down for a pen.

BTW whats this i hear about missing leagues in this version?

Has anyone figured out how to add curl to corners and free kicks yet? I have tried everything I possibly can to do and they all just go straight.

I noticed that on corners the GK charges out to catch the ball, but if I was able to add a little bit of curl on it I think it would go just over him and drop to a player at the far post for an 'easy' tap in. I want to try it but no curl so far!

I love the game but Deco's face sucks...it was much better in RTWC... I think it's the hair thing... Puyol's hair is ridiculous in cut scenes... IN game graphics though, wow...

try holdin RB button, i dunno if it works on corners but it works on free kicks and shots...
