EA where are the real faces?

I am definitely hoping these faces that EA advertised so big and proud will be showcased in the next edition with better textures in the graphics

those are renders... when translating into the game is not going to look exactly like that.. it would take too much out of the engine... i dont think faces are that bad.. but there arent that many it seems

I don't agree, they advertised it, they were showcasing it in their video, when I see what other game engines can do like NBA live especially on the power of the XBOX 360, it should definitely be able to handle it and look exactly like it, the Kaka model now is obviously a generic face because it looks nothing like him in the game, especially the hair.

I expect to see these faces in the next game along with sharper and better textures

yes the faces are pants and the AI was supposed to be next gen too but they run around like a bunch of zombies ea should be struck off for releasing this what a waste of money they have stitched us up again back to pro evo

My thread is about graphics, I absolutely love this game and its gameplay! I think the AI is awesome, so I don't agree with you, as far as Pro Evo goes, you might be dissappointed, basiaclly paying 60 dollars for a port.

It looks good just wish it was lot more sharper

HDTV matey! Gt a samsung 26" and the game is sharp and superb really great, you can't see the sweat on your shots either???

Exactly, most of the awesome graphics from the 360 comes when you have a HDTV, there´s an abism between a normal TV and a HDTV. Indeed, i tested some demos first on my old tv when i brought my 360, and i thought,,,pfffff,,,microsoft again??...but there´s a week ago that i brought a 42" Panasonic HDTV, and well, the change is terrific, from 420p to 720p or 1080i there´s an abism. All changes really.

This does not means that for enjoy a 70€ game you must to waste 1500€ or 2000€ in a HDTV, but is a thing that each time is more common...dvd movies in more resolution, cable, HDMI, components, etc...all will needs at the end a HDTV, and, for long, i recommend to pick up one. If you have the money, buy it, if not, keep it and buy it in a near future. Think that you will use not only for the 360, there´s a lot of cool things to do with a HDTV....imagine using a big HDTV as pc monitor and play Call Of Duty or Fear in your sofa at big resolution....awesome.

So besides of the HDTV, i have a question, let´s see if someone can help me. Now i have connected my 360 to the HDTV by components (3 for video, 2 for audio), but i saw that people has it connected too by other methods, like VGA, or HDMI. What´s the best method to obtain the best quality??

Do the players show emotion or are they zombies all the time?

They show emotion when they score, walk off the pitch or celebrate a win, it is the only time you see them close up, so ya I would have to say, they show emotion

Can you choose the way players celebrate (like in ESPN 2K5 Football)? Are the celebrations short or last 9-10 seconds?

I am not sure because you can actually see celebration in player profile but most of them say default, the celebrations don't last as long as Pro Evo, I cannot stand FIFA'S celbration cinematics, just too fake and played up, I want it to more television like pro evo.

There´s a few celebrations that you can choose, plus locked celebrations, like kiss the ring, strong, jump, etc.....but no so many as pes (more than 100) if you meant this. Anyway the default goes fine, default means that each player default celebration belongs to his counterpartner in real life, for example, Ronnie´s default is \m/ \m/ and dancing samba, Raúl´s default is kissing the ring...but in game you can find other celebrations from the same player...Ronnie can do the samba thing, or simply run to his teammates and scream celebrating the goal, etc.....the same thing with other players.

Anyone see Guti up close? Man, he looks like a cross between an albino drunkard and an extra in a zombie movie. Best faces I've seen so far are Jar Jar, Cicinho, Malouda, Canizares, Raul, Messi, Xavi.

Yeah, there´s a few players from Barça and Madrid that face is weird. Guti is awful man, Sylvinyo is other person, and Valdés is a geyperman....Almost we have the editor and some results are great, and sure, hundreds and hundreds of awesome faces. I made another Sylvinho and looks great (if you want an acurate face, spend almost 30 minutes on it). May be you should do the same with Guti, the only bad thing is that we need points for their stats.

P.D: For me, Guti resembles more to the old man that appears in the John Carpenter movie "In the mouth of madness", yeah, the old man that goes with the bycicle, hohohoho....poor Guti.
