How would an ATI radeon 9600 pro 256mb fare in running pes5? And which NVIDIA card is roughly equal to the 9600?

Yes it should be enough since PES5 doesn't requre much power anyway.
FX5600Ultra.

@Lobo - lol. What's the use of mentioning "agp 8x, chipset by ATI". It's not relevant at all in order to say it's a good GFX card. ;) Wow a Radeon 9200 is a good gfx card now, since it's uses agp slot and it's by ATI... :lui:

lol. Sorry for having a go. :X
But then again you did say you got it sometime ago. But at this moment you should be recommending a 6600 Gt or 6800GT which would be a better choice or the X800 as compared to the outdated 9600xt. :)

Is Zogis GeForce 6200 for AGP 4x

Hi, I´m new in this site, well and i don´t know to much about Video cards and all that stuff, right now i have an NVIDIA Riva TNT2 model 64 PRO 32MB, yes i know to old, i had this card since 2002. But know i would like to buy a new one; the problem is that my AGP is 4x and i don´t want to change my motherboard right now (in order to get AGP 8x) beacause then i will have to buy a new procesor (I have pentium 4 1.6GHZ 1st generation, yes it´s crappy i know) and it´s going to be expensive also i want to wait for the new motherboards with the Bus PCI-E, beacause where i live there aren´t those motherboards. That´s why i want something not so expensive for now. I now that the GeForce FX 5200 and 5500 are for AGP 4x, but a had read that the series FX aren´t so good, I have read too that the Zogis Geforce 6200 is better than the last two, but I´m confused because in many sites (English, Spanish) say that the Zogis is for AGP 4x, but in the box ín the front says AGP 8x. Can anybody explain me? or if you now a better card for AGP 4x tell me.

The difference in performance between AGP 8X and 4X is is really too small to even worry about. Just get the 8X card and run it at 4X. It depends on what you're willing to spend but there are some great cards out there like the 6800XT or 7800GS. Of course, it would probably be best not to spend too much on an AGP card if you're planning on upgrading soon. I wouldn't recommend either the 6200 or 5500.

Is Zogis GeForce 6200 for AGP 4x

Than if i put for example a 6800XT AGP 8x you think that my bus AGP 4x will support it?

I ask you this because many people say that a bus AGP 4x will not support a Video Card for AGP 8x.

Too I don´t know the true diference between a bus AGP 4x and an 8x.

Another question, why in other sites and forums say for example: ZOGIS GeForce 6200 AGP is for AGP 4x / 8x when in the box of the video card says that is only for AGP 8x, here is the link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.asp?Image=14%2D136%2D004%2D07%2Ejpg%2C14%2D136%2D004%2D02%2Ejpg%2C14%2D136%2D004%2D03%2Ejpg%2C14%2D136%2D004%2D04%2Ejpg%2C14%2D136%2D004%2D05%2Ejpg%2C14%2D136%2D004%2D06%2Ejpg&CurImage=14%2D136%2D004%2D06%2Ejpg&Description=ZOGIS+ZO62%2DDLAGP+GeForce+6200+256MB+GDDR2+AGP+4X%2F8X+Low+Profile+Video+Card+%2D+Retail
you can see that in the top says ZOGIS ZO62-DLAGP GeForce 6200 256MB GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Low Profile Video Card - Retail but in the box says AGP 8x is down of the 64-bit. can anybody explain me.

well it has to do with amount of data being transferred there is 4x - 8x or pci-e 16x .. So as you can assume pci-e is the fastest technology for now. You can put a 8x card in a 4x motherboard if i am not wrong but video card will only run at 4x because your motherboard is only capable of receiving limited amount of data from the video card. It all has to do with video processing speed and quality.

newegg.com had a 7300gt for $69 after rebates. $99 before. You would be getting a deal since Uk pound is almost twice as the dollar.

could a slot AGP 4x support a video card 8x with out problems?

then if i put a video card AGP 8x in a slot AGP 4x , will there be consequences like high temperture or my PC would crash? or something like that?, because i read that the diferences between this two AGP's is only the speed or something like that and temperture (volts/watts), some sites and forums say that there's not much diference between this AGP's, i'm not sure about it, had somebody put a video card 8x in an AGP 4x? did it work?, what were the consequences (about temperture, speed, etc.)? i hope somebody could answer please. people say too that the AGP 4x will not support a Video Card 8x because this last ones need more energy than a video card 4x and the AGP 4x can't give that energy to the video cards 8x, is that true

Soun Card

Hello, is it true that GTA San Andreas needs a sound card. If yes, what type of sound card does it need? please not so expensive.

Daniel Jones

As I said before the difference in performance between the two is minimal. You shouldn't have any problems running an 8x card in a 4x slot. The only "consequence" is that it will run at 4x.

Yes, you will need a sound card for San Andreas. You should be able to pick one up from Newegg for $20. Much more expensive options are available of course but the $20 card should work for you.
