Kappa flip-flopped between orange and turquoise for Barça's away strip during the early 90s / Dream Team days ... have Nike decided to follow in Kappa's footsteps in their choices for Barça's away colours for the latest "Dream Team"?

the shirt's not too bad, but it's not great either ... would have loved to see something new -- yellow, sky blue or something else light to contrast the (relatively darker) home shirt ... wouldn't even mind if they reverted to the silver from 'centenary' season (1999-00) or the gold right after that one ...

however, I suppose the reason could be that they're going for the away colours from the 1957-58 season as part of the Camp Nou Golden Jubilee celebration?

That's a goalkeeper kit, not an away kit.

I don't see many differences, comparing to the previous one. Is there any chances to see their home kit?

The home kit will stay the same as saints are one of the few clubs which keep the same home shirt for two years+.

What is the reason for keeping the same kit for more than two seasons? Lack of financial dupport from the technical sponsor?

Southampton haven't had a kit supplier for almost a decade. Their primary reason is that they wanted to cut out the middleman and plough 100% of the proceeds back into the club, rather than giving up a cut of it back to the supplier.

That's not exactly true.

Southampton have never (in recent times at least) kept their home shirt for more than two seasons.

The Southampton home kit in the 2005-2006 season was only used for one season.

I know that the sponsor was changed for the 2006-2007 season, but the home kit was also a whole new design.

However, this shirt will also be worn next season, as you said.

Which design? The one posted in the previous post?
Yep thats the one :)

Also that Reading away kit kinda reminds me of an old Inter Milan change kit from the late 90's, albeit with white instead of yellow trim.

Yeah, what I meant was that the board have finally resigned to the fact that a small thing like the kits being changed every season could result with the fans turning on them again. So they are trying to keep us happy with 2 season home kits and cheaper season ticket prices.
I seriously hope Paul Allen takes us over...

you should learn more about the history of your club. :jambo: purple is a classic color for real kits.

wow i am impressed did u figure out all that by yourself? if u didnt tell me i wouldnt know? NOT

of course i know they had that kelme kit in the 90s with the purple stripes but since then we have sticked to the black stripes and white shirt

and if they wanted to see how the badges would look how come they have LFP in one side instead of the champions league logo and the champions count

So mainly, its for financial reasons?
