Haven't been here in a while.. but my God, how does this comment come out of a person who hasn't even left their own country. Hmm ignorance? arrogance? feelings of superiority? That's why American soccer will never go far.. because they don't want to see the beauty of the game in other cultures and isolate themselves from other 'inferior' people overseas. What a tosser.

Who the hell are you? Did you play in Serie A? For some reason I doubt it. Have you played in multiple World Cups? Again, I doubt it. Lalas has way more credibility than you do. Tosser.

Alexi Lalas is an asshat and this is his idea of generating publicity for MLS and the LA Galaxy.
That scene of Homer looking up marketing then firing a shotgun shouting "bowling" comes to mind :D

Perhaps I came across incorrectly. My point's that he can't justify to classify something as MLS as superior to the EPL just because of Beckham's arrival to the States or his other reasons. That's all. Sorry if I was directing that at Americans.

I'd say it was a pretty good publicity stunt... we're talking about it on SGF, aren't we?

Hardly an achievement considering the fact that the main topics the last few months have been: Turks, paedos (read: Tom) and fat ManU gloryhunters from Newcastle.

"Asshat"? Thats a new one to me. :fool:

While Lalas does have some credibility, the way he came across does sound like a source for ridicule. Maybe he meant he found MLS matches more entertaining than the EPL in his opinion.

I watched Chicago Fire V FC Dallas on Five US last night and yes I found it entertaining, but in my opinion not in the same sphere as the EPL. Conference football is capable of entertaining, but who in their right mind would say the conference is superior to the EPL. I would further add that Lalas must have been watching a poor selection of matches, because there has been spellbinding football in the Premiership this season.

Just when you thought that the Assclown of American Soccer had stopped running his mouth, he drops this nugget into the toilet: MLS is better than the Premiership.

It was onli said because naive people in England were saying its the pits,....when it really isnt.
