A welsh and an accomplice, both of whom were caught for armed robbery last week, have escaped jail. The welsh was recaptured yesterday, no word on the sheep's location, though. :dragan: :S
Get yourself a well-earned taxi young man, looking at the county mentioned in your location I think a tractor would be more appropriate!! :wootman: :wootman: :wootman:

And on that note, what do you call a sheep tied to a lamp post in Swansea? A leisure centre. Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week. :ewan:

Kind of ironic, to be honest. But I don't have any farm animals in my house, so, there's no reason for them to wander here.

what a ******* wasteman. yes his jokes are offensive, which i guess would have been acceptable had it been remotely funny.
Oh and his general 'jokes' were pretty **** too.

as for him not being racist, i assume you haven't seen the documentary where he went and did a gig in India. That was funny, take away the microphone and he's just a bigot, no two ways about it.

Im not going to say 'rot in hell' or anything like that, because frankly i don't care - he is a non-entity. That people find any of his jokes funny just bemuses me more than anything, that's even before exploring the more controversial stuff he came out with.

pfft.

I'd make an Oscar Wilde one... but that might be overdoing it. Anyway, whether you like him or not, have some respect for the dead.

I havent seen that documentary but if I know Bernard, he would have been playing to his audience and to the cameras. There is little to no evidence of him ever being racist or bigoted outside the performance or showbusiness arena. He was, in essence, portraying a comedy character.

And you cant say he wasnt funny, his comic timing and delivery were among the best in the business and his crowd interaction is sublime. Yes some of his jokes do seem a bit tired, but the man has been going for decades and performed literally thousands of times, there are something like 15 different performance videos available, you can hardly accuse him of lacking material. Some of the lines he delivered were just cripplingly funny.

his comic ability is debateable and i guess an arguement about it would be largely pointless, people find different material funny. But for me, what ive seen of him and what ive heard don't particularly enamour me.

I'll try and find this documentary because i am basing my opinion of him on that. He makes no attempt to veil his belief that the indian subcontinent is composed of an inferior race who could do with some more British 'help'. It's ignorance to the highest degree.
