arsenal suffered a big blow when they lost viera... what impact will this have on them??

maybe they can be positive about the way they finished the season last year, but from a psychological standpoint, this is a major blow for the team.

Frankly, he left last year.

He has been a permanent peripheral figure this year - maybe its time Arsene cashed in on him.

yea it seems he just doesnt believe in arsenal anymore, there hasnt been any signings so far for arsenal and we havent even heard of rumors close, this would be a great career move for thierry becuz we would be able to win tropheys at barcelona, but i think he will not be happy with the ways the egos are over there..guess we can just wait and see wat happens...

Just shows what mugs Chelsea were to pay over twice the price for an older player a year ago.

Not really u air head , Barca were offerin Arsenal ALOT more last summer , somewhere in the region of 40-50 mil , the price has gone down because the last time Henry has played was against PSV, injuries really brought the price down and thats just business, i can guarantee u that if Sheva was injured most of the year hed come more cheap , thats business. BUT YES when ever chelsea buy a player every club evaluation of a player get inflated like crazy.

Its not about being mugs mate, it's all about the fact that Chelsea are just so stinking rich that money does not mean a thing. I'm sure you would like Newcastle to be as rich AND as successful wouldn't you?

Three years since Roman arrived and some people are STILL getting themselves upset over it:brow:

About Henry......Barcelona have said that they will be making an anouncement within the hour. Make of that what you will.

Personally I think if he leaves Arsenal then he will have declared publicly, a big vote of no confidence in the future success of AFC. Why would any other players want to go to a club where even their top player walks out on them. I think this will damage Arsenal even more than it is already damaged. Although expect the Arsenal fans to say that he is way past his best and that he won't be missed too much. Yeah right.

Wenger next? Lets hope so.;)

16 mil still low but way more realistic for a 30 year old wouldnt you say? If Henry leaves Wenger will leave so will Fabregas.

Well lets all wait to see who Arsenal can replace him with now that we have some money to spend before we declare them out of the top 5 next season. I know we can't completely replace him, but the likes of Torres, Babel, and Huntelaar are something to look foward to for any Arsenal fan. As for Wenger I think he'll finish the last year on his contract and decide next summer, but if he does leave I will say that it's a completely other and bigger issue and Arsenal are in deep ****. (unless we get a big name to replace him)

This is a very sad day for all of Arsenal. :S

Last day of high school and Henry's leaving Arse, most of us non-Arse;non-Real fans are happy. I'm sure they still have a good chance of finsishing top 5 though because they pretty much did it this year without Henry.

16 million is about right for a 30 year old that missed most of the season.
Only Chelsea would pay more for such a player.

Im not all that worried about the goals that he proved as many of said he aint as good as he used to be but he still is bloody brilliant. Its the pulling power he had, having such a player at the club ment that players wanted to come and play at Arsenal.
