Rinaldo, two questions if you dont mind.

1 - Why might using CM change my gameplay. Might it be currupted zdata or fifa.fat files?
2 - With Fifa 08, if it has the same file structures, might it be possible to import cmp stadium files of Fifa 07?

cheers

when i install faces i've got white stripes on players hair (from the neck and up to the top)
i have converted fsh to PNG and installed with cm07.
anyone know what's causing this, and hove to fix it?

Those are 2GF faces from dark haired players that you reconverted to 1GF, correct?
Export the hair texture t22*.fsh to .bmp, open it in photoshop, paint shop pro or whatever image editor, zoom in on the hair, to the left side you will see a white line in the image, use the fill tool and make it black.

Export everything back into the .fsh and import into your game, now the white lines in the back of the players hair are gone... et voila.

Hey Ockham, write this down and claim you discovered it, that will make you cool and loved. :D

I thought that way but how to solve that with the unused existing files ... and what you mean "dirty" FIFA environment ?

"Dirty" means that you have edited zdata and gui files that do not match with your fifa.db. Use File Master to navigate through your FIFA file system and look at how the situation is.

First you can install fsh directly if you want (right click on the picture box), maybe you are experiencing problems with transparencies conversion.

1 - CM does not alter your gameplay for sure. Usually CM07 does not corrupt zdata and fifa.fa but, on the contrary, it can fix or reveal problems introduced by other tools or patches. I used the word usually just to be realistic because I do not have access to any official information from EA and all what you see is the result of my work so I can just say that I believe that CM 07 works in this way.

2 - who knows ? For sure it will be a design target for me.

Check which zdata file are you using. Be aware that, if multiple files with the same name are saved in different zdata, CM07 as well as FIFA 07, works with the file saved in the zdata with the higher number. So for example, if you have already saved your boots in zdata_60 and now you are saving a different version in zdata_59, the one saved in zdata_60 continues to appear.

How do I check which zdata file I am currently using? Also, you said that I could possibly be saving zdata59, let me note that the last three files in my data folder are zdata_60.big, zdata_76.bh and zdata_76.big, could it be saving to the zdata_76.big?

In the options menu see the zdata save selection. It could be "automatic" or "specific zdata" if this option is selected also the number of the zdata can be choosen.

Ok I see what you mean. It is currently saving to zdata60. However in my data folder the latest zdata is zdata76? If I delete this file what will happen? Will there be any changes when I reopen CM, for example, any new faces ive loaded not be there any more? Or, should I just change the number from 60 to 76 in the save selection options?

Thanks

I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find it; I can't import kits using CM, they don't show up in the game. I can use Kit Raptor just fine but not CM. And when I check the box to add a goalie kit, Kit Raptor still says "kit not in game" when I try to install it through there.

I have the Fifa 4 Fans patch installed, could that have something to do with it since I know they use some sort of graphics patch?

Dear Rinaldo,
Do you think that for CM 07 to work smoothly and quickly we should keep each new zdata (60, 61, 62 etc) as low in Megabytes as the actual game. For example, 30-50 MB? Would it make any difference to the running of the game or to crashes? I have only two new zdatas, 60 & 61 and both are 250 MB and maybe thats why some stadiums do not running smoothly.

thanks for the advice

My suggestion is do not delete zdata76. Use File Master to navigate through your zdata files and, eventually, delete duplicated files. Then I suggest to change your save option to zdata 77 so you are sure that every file saved will be seen in the game.

Kit importing with CM07 works fine. There could be some reason if you are not able to see them:
You have disabled the options to save in zdata files or in the database.
You did not save when you exit CM
You have a duplicated kit saved in a zdata with an higher number of the zdata file used by CM.

Stadiums do not run smoothly because they are very heavy from graohic point of view and the engine of FIFA 07 is not so brilliant as the one of FIFA 06 (more detailed but slower), this happens specially for stadiums originally developed for older FIFAs.
The size of zdata is not a cause of slow down to my knowkedge but you can keep them smaller changing the zdata file in which to save more frequently.
Now, that zdata already exist, you could use FileMaster for transferring some file from a big zdata in a new one.

I'm getting really frustrated, I can't import stadiums with this program.

I'm trying to install the "English Stadium Patch 2007" from Fifa4Fans but the get the follwing error when trying to view the 3D model: "Error 5028 Cannot find the requested file in a zdata archive"...

I do exactly as instructed, select patch, load the .cmp file, the stadiums are listed and in green, every box is checked and click import. It says the stadiums are imported and then the patch window closes. The stadiums show up fine in the list with info but I get the above error under 3D model.

Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you.

Hi Rinaldo,
I have the same problem. I tried to change the Options in the CM07 (v2.08b).
I selected the "Specific Zdata" optionbutton and seleted a number XX (which zdata file doesn't exist - I want to create a new zdata file for new the imports, to keep small sized zdata files).
I import a new stadium, and the CM07 create a new zdata_XX file. But when I chose the "3D Model" tab, it always appears "Error: 5028 - Cannot find the requested file in the zdata archive".
What's the problem? Am I doing something wrong?

I really appreciate if you could help.
