xb360 fifa08: can u chip shot in Pk...?

i use Ronadino is the arena, i try PK but when i used chip shot, it only shot to the center but cant shot to either left or right...is that happen to u as well, also does anyone try PK in the match and try chip shot?? pls advise

only a retard would chip shot on a PK so its logical that u cant chip shot on a pk in the game

I've not played the game yet, so i don't know whether you can actually chip the ball or not. Atleast in u-cl you can.....it'd be rather stupid if you can't chip in pk's imo

many world class player use chip shot in PK....u are idoit....
i can use chip shot in PK bu that the ball can go to center but not left or right

no world class players dont chip shot on pks. they use the inside of their foot and lightly kick it into the net instead of a full blast shot. if you knew anything about the game. chips shot are meant to take advantage of goalkeepers who are way out of position. not as a PK shot. only way someone would do a chip like shot is if they were tricking the goalie by using a move. not just chip shot.

i;ve watched more football than u and played 100000 times mroe football than u and have alot more PK experience. whether its em taking the PKS or me saving them.

in the PS3 version you can only chip it into the middle, it wont let you push it to the side either, btw Lord Spawn, i think you confused, maybe your English is not very good or something but a chip shot is different to a lob because i think your thinking of a lob shot, lets hope for your sake you are

Chip shot and SOFT shot are 2 completly different things.

what i said is very clear and easy to understand. i never said Chip shot was the same as lob shot. i said players dont CHIP shot on PKs and they use the inside of their foot and softly kick it. in other words just tapping it pretty much with a tiny bit of power. just enough power to make it to the net fast enough. its hard to explain.

i use this technique all the time when taking penalties in real life (didn't score every single one obviously). the key to making them work is how u approach the ball. you got to fool the goalie to thinking you are gonna blast it but really you are not. like henry did in that video


and PS. again stop putting words in my mouth saying i said stuff when i didnt say a "lob" shot was the same as a chip shot. try reading peoples posts CAREFULLY before replying about them. my comments were really clear.

the shot henry is similar to a chip shot but still different.the other guy some no name player. used a pure chip shot and made a noobish mistake and dove to early (again another no name) the way henry did it was proper the way the 2nd guy did it was wrong but the goalie sucked **** and simply went the wrong way.

You are implying that every world class footballer uses the inside of their foot to take PKs, and that they never blast it. This is total plonky talk. There is a difference between using your instep to kick the ball and chipping the ball. Besides, I don't think there's an official 'soft shot' technique.

Anyhoo, you probably do know (I hope) what we're talking about now just you didn't get it across very well. Also you're getting your wires crossed with 'lob' and 'chip', the only difference in the way that they're used is the effect the player's trying to create. They're both 'chip' techniques but if it's a chip used to go over the keeper then it's a lob, if it's not then it's just a chip. Eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasy.

Lord you must be on crack, or your just trying to cover your tracks because the only difference between those penalty shots and Nani's goal was how much height it got and how powerful the shot was, you do the exact same thing when you hit a penalty, you will not find one person in this forum that will back you in what ever the hell you are talking about!

Also we are not helping the person that asked the question; the button you use to chip the keeper in the game, is the same one you hold when taking a penalty to get what you are looking for, what henry did. Isn't that funny lord, its the same button, the chip shot button, hmmmmm

... there is no hope in explaining these things to you people. i tried i made it clear but you still don't get it. also based on the comments i see you are thinking about the FIFA game when posting your replies instead of real life and REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE.

they are both similar type of shots. bu the way each shot is taken is different. a CHIP **** is used to CHIP the ball over the goalies head and into the net when is is far enough out of the goal. THAT is a chip shot. its called a CHIP shot because the way your foot makes contact with the ball..

the other technique (the PK one) doesn't have a specific name to it but its the same type of shot as the "finesse" shot in the recent FIFA games. similar idea but they have their differences.

in FIFA XX game form
Chip shot = Shot used to kick the ball over GK's head when he is out of position

Finesse shot: Penalty Shot technique you are talking about. also finesse shot is used from a far distance.as an a lot stronger chip like shot that is like a combination of a chip and blast shot. (and is really difficult to do in real life and takes a lot of practice to perfect))

or just R1 and direction just did it
