To be honest, I really don't think Liverpool will be much of a threat this year.
I may be wrong, but I just can't see them challenging for the title.

Liverpool just won't be able to keep up the pace if they keep on rotating players all the time, which is what they gonna do. Arsenal, give it a few games and they will be back to their usual form. They are just too young and not experienced enough for this yet. The real question is, Can we gel our new players fast enough to get ahead?

I think you are underestimating arsenal...for some reason i think they will be a serious threat. But great to see our defence is rock solid at the moment. Rooney worked very hard but had no end product to his attacks.

Did you see ronaldo pissed off when tevez took over the free kick responsibility. I think tevez should be a candidate to take free kicks as well...he has good technique. Ronaldo's technique is getting futile. Carrick was just awesome....i will be disappointed if SAF doesnt give him a good run of games.

I can't see Benitez being that stupid - eventually he'll realize his best team and stick to it.

Arsenal concern me greatly, not only are they playing the kind of football we were last year - they're taking their chances too.

Hopefully though this win over Chelsea will help United on our way back to our devastating best form. I think the suspension has knocked Ronaldo off his game by a yard or two, he doesn't look quite at his best at the moment. Saha will be starting games soon which will allow Tevez a break and also IMO is our best front line with Rooney. We are not very far away from top form though.

Well, you guys have your opinions for obvious reasons and i respect that. But i call Arsenal and Liverpool to slip-up. Benitez had 3 years to realize that the team can't gel good enough when he rotates them regulary and from his comments this season it doesn't look like this will stop any time soon.

I was watching the Carling cup game last night on Sky sports, did you see how many times Torres was getting battered by the Reading defenders? Great to watch, hopefully Vida and Ferdinand can do the same.

It would be great to see a one horse race, United run off with the Premier League title, but I can't see that happening. Liverpool and Arsenal are our only threat. Chelsea will have to settle for a UEFA cup spot :D

Oh how sweet would it be to see the wheels come off at Stamford Bridge! I reckon they're going to wind up like Real Madrid did with world class individuals but not working as a team. All this talk of Ronaldinho and Kaka etc.

Mikey.....you already have a team thread muppet and that is Lee.

Your thread does not need 2 muppets. You do not need to come down to his level.

Where is all this talk of Ronnie and Kaka coming from? The Sun you dope.

And don't worry, the wheels aint coming off at Chelsea. We are adjusting just like Man U will have to when Ferguson walks away mate. Then you will understand what it takes to go through these changes.

I would guess that Fergie has been Manager at Man U since the day you began supporting them so you have no idea how disruptive change can be. One day you will find out, and I'll be here to rub it in as hard as I can pal.

It's alright for Lee 'cos he's been a Man U fan only shortly before Nani arrived so he don't count.

Yeah, but still pretty dissapointing counting that we had players like Pique, Nani, Anderson, Eagles and O'Shea who all apparently didn't do too well.

They could have won and get a chance to play again in the competition. I don't really care bout the cup, but its the only chance where fringe players can get a chance to play and prove their worth.
