FIFA MASTER 08 - Development plan

Rinaldo, we all respect your work and appreciate your efforts. However, I think you would make alot more money if you ask for donations, its straight forward, a lot of persons will just use the standard features and not bother to pay, they will find alternative ways of doing the "WOW" stuffs. Then only maybe a few persons will opt to buy the advance features (since it would appear we can edit the game without it). If you ask for donations however, people will donate because we appreciate your work, and there will be no limit on the amounts you collected. You can try it and see how much you get in a month, then you will see that you couldn't get that much in shareware license. The only way to make money from your shareware, is to take out necessary features (for example, the freeware could view the database but only the licensed version could edit it) in that way people would have to pay because they cant use the tool without it. If as you say only advanced tools will be paid, then my assumption is that the free version will be just as good as CM07, in that case since we were all satisfied with CM 07, we'll all use the freeware version and not bother to pay and you wouldn't earn anything. At the end of the day, just be your respect and reputation, if you ask us for donations, we will give generously (at least most of us would). Think about it.

I think that DONATION is the best way to do it,
or maybe release separate versions FREE and PRO,
where PRO will contain all tools, and FREE all the basic tools.

CREATION MASTER I think should be 100% free,

Is that hard to make an update to CM07 to accept 08 structure like you make for UCL?
Is that hard to see that allot of us just seat with a piece of ...game waiting just to make it good to play?
Is that hard to see that an entire forum wait to change faces, stadiums or...anything but we dont have the tools to do'it?
Is not visible that everyone of us espected with a great hope that cm08 or an update to be available to stat the "dance" around fifa08?

You say allmost nobody helped you when you create CM. Yes, but maybe we don't know how. Maybe if we know, we do'it right now and nobody will not want nothing from you! And, for all the good words you receive from as, respect and everything, you turn your back saying: I will be away for a couple of weeks to think about... About what? That you want money? That you want more then respect? Nobody ask you to create that faboulous tools that you described in the beginning of the post! I'm not even sure that we need that. Maybe someone will modify your CM07 to work with fifa08 and post'it in the "air". I dont think is that hard. Fifa08 and UCL are allmost the same. Then what? You may go to think for weeks, months if you want, but you have make yourself a name in FIFA community and i'm not sure if that name waits for you.

I think Rinaldo is perfectly justified in his proposal and the quality of his work is fantastic. I will gladly pay $5-$10 for a fully functional editor to tailor the game to my preferences. FIFA is the only game I truly play year round and less than a buck a month to keep it updated and fresh would be a good deal.

Would it be better to get all that for free? EA doesn't charge you for their updates. If it's well worth a donation then people who are willing and able can easily do that thru paypal.

don't be too silly please! Master has already used our passion for the game and become an ideous commercial dealer aiming to your pocket! I also have spent as many other of u tons of days and labour for free. is any of u persuaded about his last words???? moreover "disappearing" for two weeks is a very clever trick well known for ages to create an atmosphere of expectations and arguments in fifa community and then to appear like Mesiah!!! to save us from the great problem of editing. and notice: He is not alone: the money to be collected by children and kids are toooooo much and some powerful partners r probably behind him. I ll donate first of all but i ll ingnore all of his shareware projects (costing 14 Euros each!!!!!). does anyone know if his "company" has been allowed by FIFA to use its brand name for a commercial program as his????

Hmm those pictures don't seem too optimistic I hope Rinaldo will sincerely reconsider, but it seems things may be set in stone, despite our pleas for leniency

hmm... nothing wants other tool....we wan't old CM updated and comptible with 08 thats ALL!!!

Ha, ha, job in progress. If he created a tool to edit others work, well....maybe some day will appear a tool to edit his work. If is not willing to clear his name after this stupid proposal maybe we will retain only what is important: an FIFA08 editor.

If Rinaldo choose to do this:

1. All people will switch to Creation Centar
or
2. People will `make` new serial numbers....
or
3. Buy this FIFA tools .... money,money,money ....

And then Rinaldo will become angry, we will say "we told you this would happen, no matter how much everyone didn't want it to." and then he will never make any more tools for FIFA Community.

Ok I'll be fair.

I'm my opinion, Rinaldo, you're simply killing the spirit of Fifa Editing.

This has always been a hobby for everyone, not a way to make money.

If you think you've not enought time to waste in editing, DON'T DO IT.

Editing existed before of your tools and it will go on without them.

I hope you'll change your mind, but I guess you don't...

Here are my concerns at the moment.

First, without FIFA 08, you have nothing to edit. Without FIFA 08 you can't make money off this product. That's the legality issue

Second, in CM07 for the longest time if I clicked remove it would delete all kits for all teams entirely. If I pay for a program that does that to my game you have an entirely different obligation to me.

Third, keeping up with licences and billing concerns could create many more hours of ACTUAL work than either of us could truly imagine.

Fourth, If I were the parent of a child who wanted 15 bucks to pay for some program i've never heard of to edit a game that probably annoys the hell out of me anyway... I think the clear answer would be to say no... We have a ton of kids editing. They will be totally left in the dust. My parents would have said no in a heart beat... hell my wife will probably tell me no now! lol.

Fifth, if you make good money off of CM08, CM09 will be locked up even more... CM10 may be entirely pay only. By this time kitmakers are charging me 10 bucks a kit and we're looking at 50 per stad... ladada. it could really get out of control.

The cost of the license is 14 EUR! Lol you got to be kidding me... I bet the crackers are already sharpening their knives...

I knew I had chosen the wrong career

Well, I saw already some good opinions, some offensive opinions, and three bastards who were really pissing me off with their opinions and makes me wanna beat the **** out of them. But, when everything is said and done, the purpose is the same: being against the shareware idea of the tools.

Most of all, I'm agree with the Zefilio and some other guys idea of donations. I mean, this is the scenario:

Shareware: I gotta pay for something that has been free before and something that stands against the "non-charging for our job" spirit of the FIFA community???

Free, but with donations: well, this program rules!!! That's a hell of a job!!!! This guy deserves some gratification for all the time he takes to do this!!!! And, the donations will come.

I hope that Rinaldo consider his opinion. If he pushes the shareware initiative, not only Rinaldo, but the whole FIFA community will lose with this issue.

Mate, that could be the biggest consequence of all this issue. Maybe it's the more pessimist of all scenarios. But, if Rinaldo pushes his initiative, that could make a precedence. And then, everybody will begin to charge for their job, and some lol kids will complain 15x for that.
