It takes an exceptional amount of talent to be able to make a transition so young though. Only players like Rooney, Ronaldo, Fabregas manage to do that. Gibson needs more time, and his time at Wolves will be very beneficial. He'll be of more use to us after his loan spell.

I've just been reading about the twins that are expecting to complete their transfer from Fluminese in January. It looks like they will ease the problems at both full back positions, and could be one more reason Ferguson sold Heinze in the summer.

Are we sure United can get permits for them?

Where did you read about them, can you post a link?

They were all very well managed and they weren't just thrown into the action, both managers were careful in easing them into the sides.

They don't need permits, they are the youth import type, just like half of Arsenal's youth team.

I doubt we will see them in the first team for a while, and they are shorter than Evra and I can't see them making it in the premiership as fullbacks. Fabio might make it as a winger but it's hard to say.
Simpson looked class though.

Hopefully Rooney will score today for England and keep his good recent run going. He scored against Roma, and got a goal and an assist against Wigan. So a goal for the national side will just boost his confidence even more.

Supposedely Fergie is trying to get Stevan Jovetic of FK Partizan, and has made a £7 million bid. He scored a hat trick in a UEFA cup qualifying game for FK Partizan this season, which is quite special for a 17 year old. I've never heard of him before this, but the link claims he's "a bit special."

Ronaldo captained portugal and was a constant threat for Azerbeijan. One of the azerbaijan players got sent off for elbowing ronaldo but the commentator was biased against ronaldo and described it as playacting. I was really pissed off by the remark.

hi guys i'm planning a vacation to visit manchester to catch a game in the next 2 weeks, i was just wondering if any of you know a way to purchase tickets without being a oneunited member? Or could i just go to old trafford and buy a ticket? are there any other ways which are reasonably priced? Thanks!

You'll have to ring the ticket office to find out about that, but i'm afraid i think you have to be a member. Alternatively, you can go to the ticket office on the day of the match and queue for returned tickets. Both ways have a low success rate i'd think.

Some tickets come up for general sale don't they ? You still need to be a member of the site. But you won't be able to decide on a match to vacation for because you don't know which games are coming up for general sale. And its usually the mediocre games which are on general sale. Saying that I've been to a champions league game after purchasing a general sale ticket.

Thanks guys i'll give the ticketing office a call once i get to europe, I hope they'll have general sale tickets since most of the home games are quite mediocre. I'm not even bothering to try to watch the arsenal game anymore, it might cost me an arm and a leg. Would any of you happen to know how quickly the membership card arrives after you sign up to oneunited?

Can take ages. I'm not sure that it'lll be any more expensive to watch Arsenal than Derby, although dont quote me as i haven't bought single tickets for home games for 7 years or so.

It annoys me too - on MOTD (Wigan match) Jonathan Pearce said "Oh and Ronaldo goes down - but the referee doesn't buy it" when in fact, Ronaldo nearly had his ankle broken.

It seems to me that anytime Ronaldo is fouled - referees just let it go.

On the subject of Ronaldo, I've just finished reading "Moments" It's a great book, and Cristiano comes across as a very deep thinking and humble individual.
