fair call about making tricks easier - i would really like to see a massive difference in the ability and means used to beat players 1 on 1 - it's still a bit hit and miss taking players on with tricks (and everyone can do the same basics the same way). That's top of my list of hopes for 09 - taking players on 1 on 1 and having an array of usable (ie, not stupid controls) means to beat them...

Well,there are tricks so we can beat the defender plus that can be done even without em too.
But i'd like also to see a difference on abillities.All abillities.

One more thing that i'd like to see,but offcourse it wont happen,is to stop having lower statistics on plenty of good players just because they're not commercial material... -_-;

So it's kindda stupid that those players are no different than any other in the game and that even the worst of defenders can easily tackle and strip them of the ball without me being able to do much about it.

Spot on. EA Sports has made this version of FIFA the worse yet imo, in 3 yrs.

Conclusion? Switch to PES.

It's definitely a harder game then fifa 07. I've had to modify my game slightly, but I still play the same way as in fifa 07.

It's all about possession, and as others have said you need to play longer games.. I play 14min games on legendary and I'm still losing the odd game, it keeps things interesting. One thing I'm noticing in this game, don't take lower sides lightly. I'm playing as Arsenal and I played reading and I lost the game. The computer was just impossible to break down, they were constantly firing shots at goal aswell... I'm actually finding it easier to beat sides like Chelsea/Man U then sides like Reading or Birmingham

I am glad that fifa is as it is in it's gameplay this year.If you ppl want it easy just drop it and play pes,please...!
I love the fact that you gotta be patient in defending and limit the attacker's options so he'll make a mistake.If i wanted to just start bumping into the attackers i'd play another football game. -_-;
Attacking?dunno about the others,but personally i still can beat one-two and sometimes three defenders when the ball goes,let's say,to Del Piero.Sometimes i can beat a defender with the simplest of moves btw...!
Passing?At last it got more realistic...nothing more to add....

Will someone lock this topic....? o_O;

some pple just love longer, less action-packed games where both the cpu and the user pass the ball around for 8395273 times before it gets into the other half... sigh...

Otherwise we would be posting in a pes forum...

Moderators should really lock this topic since the things that are been posted in here can make severe damage to ppl's eyes.... (btw,an attempt to use my own words and turn em against me will be just childish...I'm saying this just to avoid pointless replies... -_-; )

I think FIFA 08 is like FIFA 07 too easy!!!! I played the demo 2 Days and now I win every game (Legend)!

Yes I only have the demo but I didn't know that Legend in Demo is not as hard as the full version. I have to say that I use Demoexpander for being able to play Legend!

I tried the demo of pes and i didn't like it but in the first chance that i'll get,i'll rent the full game to check it out.
Do the same with fifa.In the worst situation,you'll have a full idea and a good opinion about it.
