goalkeeping in world class not realistic

Hi,
I am playing Fifa 08 with the goalkeeper in world class, and i noticed they are a lot more alert.


but they are unrealistic.
The problem is some of the reactions when you shoot at goal,
sometimes you shoot, and they are diving and grabing and knowing the direction of the ball even before the ball goes out of the feet of the player.

when in real football obviously this does not happen.


what are your views on this guys?

Well I think EA knew FIFA 07 was too easy, so they wanted to make FIFA 08 harder (naturally).

However they made it harder in all the wrong reasons. Instead of making the AI smarter and the gameplay more realistic, they made every aspect of the AI almost 'god-like' and as unrealistic as possible.

And that is just unacceptable

the keeper is perfect in pro mode as well.....

The most annoying thing happened to me on FIFA the other day, i did a header into the net it was clearly almost in the goal then all of a sudden the ball teleports into the goalie's hands.

I just tried out the World Class GK, i won a simple game 2-0, the opponents goalie only made one save which was -how should i say- interesting, but it sometimes happen in semi-pro goalie also

i didn't feel any big difference

Yes, you are such a pro gamer. Try out more games with World Class keeper before you post, thank you.

and the keepers always catch the ball, or if it's deflected, the ball goes to a corner, but, it never goes inside the net after been deflected, very unrealistic.

I agree, World class and Professional are waaay too hard to beat, I get into SOOOO many 1v1 situations but the goalkeeper has better reflexes than spiderman and it's so frustrating. Just play on World Class but put the keeper on Semi-pro, I think thats the most realistic it's gonna get and it's the closest to FIFA 07.

i am playing with those settings also, after analizing everything.

how do ya put the keeper onto semi pro? =/

go to game settings, keeper difficulty, and then semi pro.
but u are using xbox360 right?

maybe it is not the same as pc.

i'm in 2013/2014 now in career mode with world class difficulty.
i played all the matches.

Those people who complained about fifa 07 being too easy are so stupid. How isnt it supposed to be easy if they play most games using customized strong teams against average prefabricated teams that are very weak? even teams that are supposed to be strong are not, because in overall rarely are over 90 in att/mid/def. Instead challenging prefabricated teams i invite you to create a 5 stars team with over 95 in att/mid/def and play against such team in legendary or even world class. The you will see its not that easy. But unlike fifa 08, tough CPU plays hard it plays very fair as well. Because in 07, the difficulty depends not only on what level are you playing, but also on the attributes of your rival, which is more realistic that even 50/50/50 teams playing like gods.

I really hope next fifa returns to 07 gameplay.

FIFA08 is great , finally after 10 years they managed to produce quality game

hahaha!! what quality are you talking about??? graphics are lame, gameplay is stupid, and even soundtrack sucks. EA really went backwards with this game. I mean, they always do, like when they changed the good penalty system 06 had into that shi-tty PK system in 07 we all know. But at least in 07 so many other things such the playgame improved. But this time with 08 they went backwards too far by worsening almost all the good things they achieved in 07. You have to be blind if you cant see it and most people here think the same so EA MUST get better or a lot of people is really gonna go play PES instead as you say, you moron.

hey dude
try to aim in one corner and then before the shot u quikly change the corner
this maybe only works with players who have a good shot

if u r in 1on1 with the keeper tip the shot button quikly and aim short in a corner(most long corner)
then the player shoots easy in the goal

maybe this works, just try it
