LOL, I've played this year's FIFA mate - In fact I've played every version of the game for the last 12 years and as much as I have my misgivings about this years PES offering, I know that FIFA is no better. Kids game.

Fifa on 360 is true next gen experience. On PC = trash. Dont judge Fifa unless you played next gen version. It's the closest football sim for sure.

If you still think this game is not crap and that we have
extremely limited experience in REAL football, I think you need some mental help urgently. :taz::taz::taz:

That is the funniest thing ever. Honestly, not to start a war but I have never ever seen anything remotely close to that in Fifa 2008 (360). Nothing!

I dont think i've ever played a pes less or been interested in playing it less either. Cant say how good it is or isnt but it's just how I feel.

The player's a.i. is still pretty poor, until they improve this, it's just going to be the same game year after year, especially playing the cpu.

The online mode is absolute piss.

3 years on and they still can't get it correct.

[email protected]

The above is the email to send them question's regarding the online mode.
I'm sending them an email asking if the ain't going to improve the lag, I wan't a refund because they are not providing a good enough service, I urge all pes player's to do the same. It's about principle and they are taking the piss with us, what a bunch of cowboy's.

Regarding fifa 08 next-gen, i've not played it yet but i've seen it on tv and it look's absolute garbage. The gameplay looks piss, again the a.i. of the player's look's poor and some of the players look like rugby players.....for ea to suggest it couldn't run on most pc's is shocking.Sure, you can't judge a book by it's cover.....but after seeing fifa 08 'next-gen' I have no intention of playing it ....

Let's face it fanboy's, BOTH GAMES ARE ABSOLUTE CRAP.

lol and why didnt anyone mention this if u press pause during the game u see a little window of the bench who are those guys??? is that the coatch?? men konami really let me down this year .. especially with the slowdowns .. for 2 weeks ive only been tweaking my video card patching the settings to get the right framerate but with no result ... fokit i might even try fifa 08

dude upgrade ur video card. I play this game in highest setting, and i have no delay at all, not even in replay. i mean no = 0. My graphics looks better than that of 360 and ps3. Just do urself a favor and buy a good card. e.g. ATI RADEON 1950 GT 512MB 256BIT DDR3 PCI -E (mine) or if u have the money go for NVIDIA 8800GTX 640MB or 720 MB. Help ur self by upgrading ur sorry card.

Are u nuts? what kind of video card do u have? Can u play pes08 in high setting? plz dont talk **** about what u dont know. ??? Do u know that 360 and ps3 are both limited computer designed just for gaming. With mt video card, HDMI cable, and HDTV, My graphics kills any ps3 or 360 next generation games. I mean kill them into pieces.

Here is my specs:
Intel D 925 3.0Ghz, 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 667, Saphire ATI RADEON 1950GT 512 MB 256BIT GDRR3, and 200 GB hard drive. I run any gadmn game on high setting, and i never get any slowdown nor lag.

Hey to every body out there, the PC version is next gen, But u need a power video card, and a good power supply like about 500W in order to use a good video card.

Go and research about that little boy.

Mate, not everyone has the cash or time to upgrade on a videocard every few months. That's the advantage of consoles. Look at Crysis...I'd say 90% of people cant run it smoothly on their pc's.

#1, I know the power of a suped up gaming PC. My friend has a pretty good Alienware setup that runs games viciously. #2, Not everyone has the money or wants to spend it on videocards every 5 months. #3, I don't like PC's. Own a Mac for my work and 360 for gaming. Not a PC guy, imo, windows OS's are pretty weak and unstable (linux on pc = different story. #4, Many people prefer consoles to PC's because of its plug and play ease of use. People do not want to mess around with configurations and upgrades, etc. #5, All consoles are computers as are calculators and most electronic devices anyway. #6, Consoles are limited for 5 years, minimum. $400 every 5 years is good enough for me. Both economicallywise and gaming satisfactionwise. Mass Effect looks super vicious on the 360 and 360 has at least 3 years left before a given developer (s) maximizes its power. #7, I was referring to the way Fifa plays on PC and how it looks (on your average family PC). #8, No need to get defensive and nasty by the way. #9, Nice specs, I bet you can enjoy Crysis (I'd love to try that game). #10, your response to my statement was misinterpreted. I meant that the engine they used on fifa for pc, the way the physics, ai are inferior to that of the consoles. This most, if not all, people will agree to. EA has been dedicating their bulk of their time on next gen consoles. The gameplay engine for the PC version is that of years ago. The NG version was built on a brand new engine that debuted on the 360 in FIFA 2007 (fact) The basic look of the PC fifa compared to ng fifas is much different. A gpu may maximize the look but not reinvent it. #11, Bioshock may look better on a super suped up PC than a 360 but not this years fifa. Remember the old phrase, "junk in, junk out"? Your high end grfx card makes the most out of what EA rendered, that's it., it doesn't make it a different game. #12, before insulting, please hold back. There's no need for it, really.

Wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the ridiculous fatigue levels in ML. Sick of managing my players stamina level. These are supposed to be pro players :|

Nah, this is the second year in succession I've traded in a next-gen PES title. PES2008 isn't bad but it's clearly not finished.

a) Crosses are odd and now seem overpowered. Too many times they end up too close to the keeper

b) Shooting on the PS3 version has been ported over from the PS2, making scuffed efforts happen more regularly. At least on the 360 version you had more control over them.

c) Startling omissions like the kit options before a league match. Plus the goals I tended to score on PES2008 never seemed as varied as before. Mostly they'd come from corners.

d) Speaking of dead balls, the AI's overpowered on them. Or, rather the keepers don't anticipate them correctly. They always wait in the middle of the goal and give delayed reactions. And they fumble a lot. I like keepers fumbling but you expect great shotstoppers to hold on to low, driven shots.

e) Stamina is a problem, yes. It's far too heavy in comparison with PES6.

Traded this and Assassin's Creed (It's a complete lemon) for FIFA 08. I've still got PES6 on the PS2 to keep me going, too. The two next-gen attempts have been rushed and unfinished, sadly. States a big case for Konami simply to take a year out to get the game right, rather than battling with EA for sales.

PES is dated monotony! and Assasins Creed is one of the biggest flops and overhyped games in recent memory. Mass Effect is an amazing game:bouncy:. Right up there with Bioshock and Call of Duty 4 as the best games of the year (imo).
